Comments Thread For: Sergio Martinez's Return Likely Pushed Back To September

Due to a variety of issues, the return of middleweight king Sergio Martinez (47-2-2, 26KOs) is likely being pushed back to an HBO televised date in the month of September. Martinez is arriving later this week to MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where the boxer will join HBO Latino's broadcast team to call this Saturday's Erik Morales-Marcos Maidana pay-per-view. Additionally, Martinez will take part in several functions to speak out against violence and domestic abuse.

            Boooo!!!!!!.
Sucks to hear this especially considering he probably won't get any better of an opponent after the delay.

Its amazing to me how anyone could be critical of the middleweight champ. I mean, he's an awesome talent, puts on exciting fights, and is willing to fight anyone. What more could you want. It was like the world was loving Maravilla until his name started circulating as a potential Pacquaio opponent. Oh yeah, and a potential opponent that will filet Wapakman alive in a boxing ring. And now, all the little Pacwh*res can't stand Maravilla. Him finding an opponent wouldn't be an issue if the so-called P4P and reigning catchweight champ would have simply fought the next best available P4P elite at a catchweight of 154, where he was the WBC titlist. To hate on Maravilla is just pathetic.
