Comments Thread For: Bob Arum, Bos Fear For The Safety of Erik Morales

I made the mistake of asking legendary matchmaker/agent Johnny Bos if he gave faded Mexican boxing icon Erik "El Terrible" Morales a chance in his Saturday night PPV TV fight against hard-charging Argentinian brawler Marcos Rene Maidana.

Bob Arum fears for Morales safety but he has no concerns about matching Marco Antonio Barrera with Brandon Rios? Barrera hasn't beaten any one of note since both Rocky Juarez fights (and the first fight I thought Juarez won) and that was almost five years ago. Since he has lost to JMM and Amir Khan and only beaten four guys with a combined record of 67 wins and 32 losses. If Arum wasn't a complete scumbag and cared at all, he wouldn't put Barrera in with Brandon Rios, who could seriously hurt him too..

I've got some advice for you, Mr. Marley. How about you learn to proofread your articles so that you don't look like a bigger fool then you already sound like.

          "Targic Hero"??

"... I vowed I would never against put Morales in the ring."

Etc., Etc., Etc. A journalist who puts out work (and gets paid for it) that is constantly riddled with mistakes is as preposterous as a teacher who can't spell.

Come on man, editing is part of journalism isn't it? An even better idea would be, try actually RE-READING some of the drivel that you write sometime - you might come to the same conclusion that some of us here have, and realize half of the crap you write IS actually ****.

I wish there was a way to tell who wrote an article before clicking on it. That could save some people, including myself, a lot of time and frustration. Marley's last article about 'Which opponent will lose worse' was a real humdinger, I'll tell ya. The sheer brilliance of epic proportions will be hard for him to top with that one [SARCASM]. Maybe, if he tries real hard, he can surpass that little beauty with a follow up article about "Which opponent will lose worse while chewing gum and wearing the better boxing shoes?". This guy is something else...

Any fighters corner should hold the most responsibility since they train together and know how well he's progressed in camp, the corner should be able to stop a fight if they feel there fighter is in serious danger.

They're just following the path of Roy Jones, Jr.

Bob Arum doesnt give a crap about the well being of the fighters, he's jealous that he isnt promoting the card on Saturday, he hates to see GBP making the big bucks, thats all .
Big nosed Arum didnt voice any concern while promoting Manny's latest mismatches, I mean he didnt have an issue with matching Manny against a 40 year old soon to be, Mosley.

its probably a million to one outsider but, wouldnt it be a real treat if the great "el terrible" could wind back the clock and put on a masterclass performance. in my all time top 3 at featherweight.
hope he leaves with all faculties intact.
