Be Wise Donaire

Donaire should just finish off his contract with Top Rank and then move on. Unless Arum atones for his unflattering comments about Rachel, I don't think its wise for Nonito to stay with Top Rank. Maybe the comments were truthful, but an honorable husband will defend their wife, especially when the comments were made in public.

Donaire should just finish off his contract with Top Rank and then move on. Unless Arum atones for his unflattering comments about Rachel, I don't think its wise for Nonito to stay with Top Rank. Business and personal feelings are two different things. De La Hoya and Mayweather hate each other and trashed each other in far harsher terms than Arum did Donaire. That didn't stop Mayweather and De La Hoya from working together to make money.

You are talking drivel here, what smart fighter, who is a businessman would allow a few words said about his wife...which she well deserved, by the way, (I see no one is talking about what SHE first said about Manny P.'s wife) to interfere in his career, amounting potentially to maybe $50-$100 million dollars.

Just REMEMBER, or listen to the true story of Marvelous Marvin Hagler whom even you guys have heard of.

He stayed with Top Rank his WHOLE career. Don King tried to steal him away. He was cunning enough not to go to Marvin, but obliquely approached marvin's mother, filling her with his ususal "we blacks should stick together" and other crap like that.

So Marvin's mother started getting at him about leaving Top Rank and going with King.

The way I read it, "Marvin quietly took his mother aside and said....." Mother, if you ever interfere in my business, I will stop supporting you"........... Game, set, and match.

Marvin stayed with Top Rank his WHOLE boxing career, from start to glorious triumphs, and wonderful finish.

I don't think Golden Balls "signed" Donaire, since they were forbidden by the legal decision to do so. Any "so-called" signing would be null and void.
