Froch should have to battle through this one, in the US.
Why not right he's been fighting on the road damn near the whole time anyway why stop now..

Showtime have chosen the judges and ref in every Super Six bout - it's part of the Super Six rules that the officials must always be from neutral countries.

Changing a venue isn't changing the rules! Froch has had to fight away from home for his last two fights in a row (which no one else in the tournament has had to do apart from Abraham), and as the title holder in this fight, he ought to have some say in where it is held. And his fans deserve to be able to see him once in a while. Three successive fights away from home is a bum deal. Ward has fought every single fight in the tournament at home - how can that be acceptable yet for a title holder wanting one out of three fights to be in front of his own fans is wrong? Ward should be the one getting flack, not Froch.

And Johnson can veto this if he wants to. If he agrees to it, what right does anyone else have to complain?

Nottingham should be avoided along with Germany for boxing fights.
Most of Johnson's so-called robberies have been in the US. There are more robberies in the US than in the rest of the world put together. And the same judges and ref will be used regardless of where this fight is held. The only difference the venue will make is that Froch will get to fight in front of his fans for the first time for three fights, and as a title holder he deserves to.

As for the Pascal fight, maybe some of the scores were too far apart, but the fight wasn't that close. The first half of the fight was very close, but Froch steamed away in the last few rounds and won at least the last four in a row. And none of the judges were from the UK.

I agree with ya whole post, but AA is fighting away from home three straight times now..I know he lost some fights but damn the Ward fight is still in Cali..I'm sure will see another poorly ref'd fight,AA has got it rough right now..This fight should have been in Vegas tbh with you..

Well, good points..... I suspect that is why shotime are even entertaining the proposition, but I also suspect that they can expect some flak if they concur with Froch, and I would be surprised if they make any decisions that could negatively impact the tournament after some of the disappointments to-date.

Maybe it would be a positive, and it is fair to say that Froch and his fan's deserve it. After all, Johnson (respect Glen) was just a Super-6 after-thought anyways.

I suspect a typo and that you meant away from home.

Southern California is actually a better location for Abraham than Las Vegas. The Los Angeles area is the next best thing for him after Germany and Armenia, because of the large Armenian population there. Arthur is going to have more fans there than Ward.

So I don't think he is very disappointed with the location, even though it still being Ward's home state may play a role in judging and the referee who always seems to cut Andre some slack.

Do you have any idea what you're talking about? Glen Johnson is not American and has the name "Road Warrior" for a reason.

yeah because judges from other countries can't be corrupt or influenced by the home crowd? why are some fans so gullible? omg the judges are neutral nothing can go wrong now!

You guys are completely ignoring that the semi-finals are contracted to be in America.

Froch agreed to fight the semis in America when he joined the tournament.

If he really wanted to fight at home, he could have simply not joined.

LOL @ the people saying he wants this in Nottingham just for his fans. Froch got the confidence taken out of his sails after losing the decision to Kessler, and now he's not so willing to fight just anywhere.

I love Carl and want either he or Johnson to win the tournament, but that's the truth.
