Do you remember just before Bonds, Sosa and Macs homerun race, baseball was all but dieing.
Baseball needed those guys to perform, so my thoughts are that they allowed it to happen in order to revive the sport.
Now look at boxing, I see the same thing happenening with the whole blood test situation.
If you noticed, all the fighters that refuse or who are against stricter testing have been caught cheating before. (Roy, Evander, James Toney) to name a few.
Performances would suffer and the product would be ****ed up, so in my opinion they can't afford that.
B-Hop just got into it with Pascal over testing, and B-Hop got a bad look on that one.
People look down on a fighter asking for testing for some strange reason, maybe it's cause Floyd asked and Manny refused.
But if it were the other way around people would embrace the idea.... just my opinion.
