Pac May Drama...good or bad for Boxing?

I don't see anything else keeping boxing in the minds of the general public...unfortunately. Its a shame because there's so much young and unknown talent out there that won't get any attention.

It was a good thing, but it stopped being good a long, long time ago.
The longer it continues without the fight happening, the worse it is for boxing. It makes the sport look bad to the casual fans and boxing doesn't need negativity brought upon it by it's two biggest names.

The feud drives up PPV number if the fight happens.
It's bad that the fan are left hanging w/o a fight but give it a year or two and
new stars will come out. Promoters are there to make $$ and if they gone..new ppl will be promoted and hyped up.

Good for boxing in a sense stays in the main stream media(ala Floyd getting called everything in the book on espn regularly). Bad for hardcore fans like us because we are still talking about almost a year in a half after the fact.

At this stage its a bad thing - with floyd's inactivity they are no longer even 1 & 2 in the P4P charts. If they were to sign then it would be great but as it is its just lame, the two guys can only get older and soon enough they will no longer be in their prime. I think the hype has pretty much peaked and unless its signed for 2011 (which I don't think anybody sees happening) the only way is down from here on.Last edited by Daddy T; 03-28-2011, 12:37 PM.
