Team Pacquiao (through Team Pacquiao representative Michael Koncz) still wants a cutoff on random testing 7 days before the fight per the show 24/7 Pacquiao/Margarito.

Team Mayweather is asking for no cutoffs all the way up to the fight.

For the Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs. Shane Mosley fight, USADA gave the fighters NO cutoffs for random blood and urine testing. What both fighters did not know is that the last date for both fighters to give blood was 18-19 days before the fight. Both fighters still believed that blood was going to be taken after the dates of April 12th and April 13th.

The main difference of Manny's and Floyd's demands come down to acknowledgment. Manny's demands boil down to acknowledging that 7 days before the fight the blood tests would end while the urine tests would continue.

Floyd's demands boil down to the acknowledgement that blood tests may continue all the way up to the fight but USADA, and only USADA themselves, may choose to stop blood testing when they believe they have had enough.

so it simply boils down to those seven days then.

can Pac somehow take for seven days, PEDS that cannot be detected by random urine testing, AND cannot be detected by blood/urine tests IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FIGHT.

yes. pac team needs to clarify their position clearly and unequivocally. but based on what i've gathered so far, manny is willing to take the test with no cut-off, "so i'd know if that is really the reason." and apparently, his mind is set on getting tested on the day of the fight when he says, "even after/before? the sixth round."

so let's all hope that manny's pr people will do something by simply taking the time to make a few statements about it.

I don't care about this fair stuff. Floyd offered Manny a whole 2 WEEKS with no testing (totally against the actual protocol of the USADA's testing) and he still refused. Save that "fair" stuff. Manny was asking for a whole month with no testing, Floyd offered half that and Manny STILL walked and have another fight the next day.

never say never dude. Pac also was consistent in his lowering his demands from 30 to 24 to 7, unlike floyd jr who out of a whim went from 0 to 14 AND BACK TO 0.

who knows? i'm still hoping that Pac would come to his senses and call on Floyd jr's bluff and agree to testing up to the day of the fight.
