You clearly don't know the rules my friend, take a look at point 6 below, as soon as Bute's hands cleared the floor the fight was over:
Dude Bute was out cold on his feet which means the fight should have been called off, weather on his feet are not Bute would not have been able to defend himself at that point..No??

Dude the ref did not even start counting when this dude hit the canvas,if ya want to pretend like he did not get home cooking be my guest..Just now if that fight was in Vegas with and un-bias ref Bute would have been stopped dude..TBH he would have been stopped before the knockdown even came,Bute look worse then Khan and was not protecting himself at all..

I posted the rules for you, go read them. When a fighter is down with less than 10 seconds before the bell, the round is over when he clears the floor. The part about being able to defend himself only comes into play once the next round starts.

Dude the ref did not even start counting when this dude hit the canvas
That is why i told you too look at the video and count yourself, don't look at the referee. Bute was up after 8 seconds. Are you saying that between 0:58 and 1:06 of that video there's more than 8 seconds?

With that said there is no doubt that Froch has fought the better competition but in my opinion Bute is still the better fighter. And as for Froch's opponents. Froch did look good against Abraham but Arthur did so little in that fight that my old fat a$$ may have been able to beat him. Kessler is way past his prime and was still able to beat him. Dirrell did beat him in every way except on the scorecards and Taylor was beating him easily until the last 30 seconds of their fight. And I can't see Kessler beating Bute and I really believe Froch will also lose to Bute.
bute may have more skills than froch, but like you said, froch has been in with pascal, dirrell, kessler, abraham, and taylor. i would even say that bute would beat froch. but im of the opinion that you should rank fighters based on accomplishment, not talent. how bute is ranked no.1 or even no.2 is beyond me. im looking forward to bute-kessler, and bute-super 6 winner (ward most likely). i hope though that bute lets the other guys in the division get a crack at him in the future too. styles make fights, i'd love to see him in there w/ froch and dirrell. i also wouldnt mind seeing bute finally retire pavlik or at least send him to journeyman/opponent status where he belongs.

Now i'm tired of this BUM(Froch);FROCH fought tough fighters but watch the truth:
TAYLOR was winning the fight before he remained without gas and loss because that,so PLEASE!!!!
DIRRELL won but that was an home-town decision, you know this Froch.
KESSLER has beat you and showed your limits, yes the same man that CALZAGHE(the man that you hate)played with for twelve one sided rounds.
PASCAL(killed his body to fight with Froch as supermiddleweight, infact he moved up in weight immediately) is the same man that a grandpa like BHOP beat clear at 45y....PLEASE!!!!
SO LISTEN:you have the belt of KESSLER and you won that belt from a middleweight(AA) and you are a very big supermiddleweight....PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Bute will soon join Froch in the ranks of Kessler's b!tches.

Why would Bute have to defend himself? The round and therefore the fight was over when he beat the count. And I don't care if the ref was in Andrade's corner cooking steaks with him Bute would have beaten the the original count of ten. Simply because he was up at eight, and he is up at the same time every time I have counted it. And since there were no more then five or six seconds left in the round when he went down the fight was over. And to top it off Bute was standing erect in the corner and responded to the ref when he asked him to raise his gloves and the ref cleaned them off. But Bute's detractors do have a point when they say he was lucky. Because he really was lucky there was not twenty or so seconds left in the round because he most likely wound have been finished off if Andrade had more time.

And one more thing that has not really been discussed, and that is were was Andrade? Was he actually in the corner or was he to far away from the neutral corner? I personally could not see Andrade when the ref was yelling at him to get in the corner so I cannot speak on it. And if I could not see him on the TV the only people who can truly know were the ones watching the fight live. And if he was in fact out of the corner the ref had every right to stop and ask him to return to the neutral corner. When doing so the count would have been stopped, automatically I believe, and picked back up when the ref informed the time keeper to do so. This really doesn't even matter though because Bute still would have beat the original count of ten.
