What the hell are you talking about? We're talking about boxing here, not Filipino culture. I admit donaire jumping to GBP is not the smartest move because TR has the top dogs in higher weight class but we can't blame him for that. It's all arum's fault for hiding him in the shadows of pac..

Just because you don't buy a fighters PPV doesn't mean you dont support him. Donaire is supported by pretty much everyone from what I've seen. Hes just never gonna be a huge PPV star because of his weight class. If he was in the same weight class as Pac he would sell almost as much and maybe even more as Pac because he also speaks perfect english and has a very fan friendly style.

But then again Pac went all the way from 106 to 150 and fans like to see fighters move up in weight.

Donaire is already a fan favorite. IDK if he's Pinoy. Motherphucker is exciting to watch. I can't wait for his next fight...hopefully it won't be too long.

Mexicans are already supporting Donaire... classy dude and shows nothing but respect.

Uncle Bob is just a dirty ol' man. Good ol' Uncle Bob... he's gonna have a heart attack soon from all the hatred.

I agree about the weight class and perhaps the style as well, but why does everyone think his American citizenship would help his cause? Look at Bradley, Berto, and all the upcoming American fighters. Look at their following. Yes, he can speak English, but it's moot if he lacks the resume or story to sell. We can thank Arum.

Ask angulo what's the purpose of a US citizenship, people come because this country offers more opportunities than any other. Once you're a citizen, you don't have to worry about visa, which is a pain in the a$$ lately because of some circumstances.

You also have to realize that Americans love feel good stories, why do think Bob wants to PAC on CBS so bad, because he knows that Americans will eat that **** up.

right. arum didnt invest in the flash as much as he did in pac. and pac wasnt a big ppv star until arum built him up

I've talked to some Filipinos, working at an airport, and they don't support Donaire--apparently he's "maya****", they said it means arrogant; also, he doesn't respect his Filipino roots.
