also, the amateurs back then were much more like real fights than todays amateurs. example:
no headgear, normal sized gloves, scored on a round by round system.
headgear, based on a point system where weak scoring punches are the same as hard ones.
essentially amateurs back then were like pro fights, except shorter.
so if young Foreman could take out Chapulis within two rounds, I have little to no doubt he would have done the same or worse in the pro ring.
