I don't dislike Canelo but I am also not of fan. He hasn't proved anything in the ring that makes me want to become a fan. I really want to see him fight better competition instead of choosing these bums. It seems like they are milking him before throwing to the wolves.

Canelo is overhyped with average speed and overrated power. I also thought he didn't deserve the title shot. But I think he's doing the right thing by taking gradual steps at 20. I also notice he is improving with every fight, so who knows how good he'll be in six years. I think haters will jump on the bandwagon once he beats better opponents.

i would say he is fighting more relaxed against these guys, instead of actually trying to finish them off. when hatton and him got mad at each other, it got tense. his defense needs to improve, of course, but i think we won't know how good he really is until he is under pressure.

I do think his Boxing skills are being overrated and he needs to get in the gym with a good trainer to work on his defense/footwork.

Good thing for him that he's young and has plenty of time to mature, unless Golden Girl has $$ for eyeballs and feeds him to the lions far too soon.
