You only mentioned quantity but didn't mention quality. One punch that staggers an opponent can make a difference in a round even if the opponent scored 8 times more punches that were light.
Manny will stagger Floyd while connecting with only 20% of his punches.
Not enough information...There is no way of knowing who wins with the info giving...
It doesn't take into account round by round scoring.
Now the defense criteria does take into account...But, it doesn't take into account round by round.
Also it doesn't take into account effective punches round by round.
I mean if one landed 100 seriously damaging hurtful punches and the other lands 150 pitty pat stay away from me type of punches or vice versa. You have to take that into account.
Was there any knockdown or no, point deduction or no.
So many variable. Not enough info is given to figure out who possibly won the fight.
So there is no way of answering the question with the info that is given.

ok cool..thats all im asking..thanks for the input..just trying to talk boxing here..you make great points..lets say no knockdowns and no 1was seriously hurt

As I said, quality can sometimes overwhelm quantity.
For example - and this is just an example that will shed more light on the general - Floyd throws 300 punches and lands 150 of them and Pacquiao throws 1000 and only lands 100, per your example. If Pacquiao's punches sends Wifebeater reeling while Floyd's Mama beating punches land like feathers, Pacquiao's punches would have an effect on the judges' perceptions.

Even if no fighter was seriously hurt that doesn't necessarily help decide the outcome. One fighter could've landed the cleaner punches even if he never hurt his opponent. If the punches come out entirely even in meaning and cleanness, RBR scoring still comes into effect which makes this very hard to say.
