Froch is a great example why resume is so important

i was always a calzaghe fan more than a froch fan and whilst i used to watch him i always thought he was made of tough stuff but was an accident waiting to happen and up against the guys at world level would get stopped.

he proved me wrong and turned me into a massive fan. his boxing is ugly and he looks akward, but *** me the guy can fight and wont back down from fighting anyone in their backyard and he's not too shabby at boxing either. i'm proud this guy represents the UK, he is a propper warrior.

They left Warren. Which Calzaghe should've probably done. But then again, he didnt have the crossover appeal of those guys. He was 2nd fiddle to Hatton most of the time. Warren was a safe bet for him. His division was also pretty devoid of names.

The 'hero worship' element wasn't there for Calzaghe, he was nowhere near the size of domestic star that Hatton and Naz were.

People forget that much, because he became accepted to the bull**** canon of British Sporting Greats down the stretch of his career. But the opportunity to be a breakaway success away from Warren wasn't there until that late stage in the game.




All the same, regardless of why and who's to blame, what Joe was doing at an equivalent stage of his reign sucks **** next to what Froch is doing.

True but then again, that could be said for any number of boxers. What Frochy has been doing is almost unheard of in the modern game.

froch already has a much better legacy based on fighting the best as opposed to calzaghe's longevity based bum parade legacy. and now froch is fighting the guy calzaghe ducked glen johnson. calzaghe must be having another sissy fit.

I cant say that Im a fan of Froch but the guy keeps winning. Determination is the only thing he has thats above average. I really wrote him off because I heard his arrogant talk about my boi Zags before I saw him fight. After I saw him fight I said "What is he bragging about". I wouldnt say I bet against him in all his fights but I certainly rooted for his opposition.
