Reason he has been able to drop the likes of Darchynian, Sydorenko, and Montiel with the same punch is because he takes advantage of the fact that his size forces his opponents to lean in to be able to hit Donaire. Juanma wont have to do the same thing and his stance will make it impossible to repeat what Donaire did to these three midgets.
As far as punching power goes, Donaire has a 67 ko percentage in his record with 133 rounds boxed, in a career that has spanned in three different weights 112-115-118. Juanma has a 90 ko percentage with 127 rounds fought in a career of 2 weights 122-126. So Juanma has fought 6 less rounds than Donaire even tough Juanma has fought three more times, so its obvious who the real puncher is here.
All in all, Juanma is the stronger and better fighter.

Donaire loses to Gamboa and Juanma.
Gamboa's got too much experience in the ring, he acts like the ring is his home, never have I seen a more comfortable fighter in the ring.
Juanma's too big and strong. However one could forsee Juanma getting rocked by the Filipino. I guess if Donaire had a chance at beating one of these two, he'd have a better chance against Juanma. Gamboa's just too good.

and by ur logic EDWIN VALERO is better than juanma lopez, manny pacquiao, floyd mayweather, sergio martinez and JMM ??? valero has 67 rounds boxed in 27 fights with 27 kos....cmon man...try again...
Edwin Valero was doing great and anyone who thinks he wasnt a big puncher is nuts. I mean he was already a two division champ, and while it doesnt necessarily means he is the better boxer, it does make him the better fighter.
By better fighter I mean if you go toe to toe with him you will lose 10 out of 10 times, same goes with Donaire when he fights Juanma. If you suggest otherwise then you are agreeing with me in the fact that Donaire knocking out smaller guys dont mean izz when fighting Juanma, or at least thats what I got when you compared Valero the the bigger guys.

I can see this fight being a war.
Lopez has seemed to have found himself and somewhat realized that he's not slick enough to have that counter punching style, but is strong enough to have a pressure fighting style. Donaire is a better fighter overall, but I'm not so sure about his inside game.
Donaire would pick him apart from the outside, but would have a ton of trouble if Lopez was able to consistently trap him along the ropes or in corners and work on the inside. This fight is pretty intriguing, hopefully it happen in the next year, without the bull**** marinating. This fight is already hot.

100 percent of the time Juanma gets hurt is when he goes berserk after hurting his opponent and starts swinging for the fences. This is the only time he is vulnerable. That means Donaire will have to take a punch in order to try to hurt Juanma.
Heres a good question? How many southpaws has Donaire fought in his career? Name em too.

sometimes you fight the right style for you, sometimes you don't.
sometimes you fight an unskilled opponent with an unbreakable chin, sometimes you fight a skilled opponent who has lapses in defense...
point is, every fight is different and it's insane to expect donaire to KO everybody he meets in the ring.
