JMM dont deserve to fight Pac now. He has done nothing since moving up from 130

JMM has not done anything since he moved up from 130. His credentials above 130 are filled with fighters who are way past their primes, bums, shot, or at most fringe contenders that are probably between the level of mediocre to good fighters.

The only fighter that didnt fit that description was Floyd. But c'mon that was a money fight so a guy in JMM's position had to take it. Too bad he was sVckered by his own promoter when Floyd snookered him to accepting his term before the weigh-in..

Here are JMM's fights since moving up in weight from 130..

Casamayor - was inactive for a year and was the benificiary of a robbery in his comeback fight against Sta. Cruz ( he should have lost that fight).. He looked awful against Katsidis, who was suppose to be an easy opponent since he basically had the advantage in terms of style. He was really shot by the time JMM fought him...

Juan Diaz - He ruled the LW division before all the top guys from SFW moved
up to LW.. And it was also the time when all top players like Corrales, Castillo moved up to 140, or guys like Casamayor, and Freitas were on their way out.. Plus by the time JMM fought him, he already lost to Campbell..

Mayweather - no argument there. It took balls from JMM to accept that fight. But on the other hand, it was a money fight with HBO/Golden Boy providing full promotion behind it.. So he would be an idiot if he would not accept such fight even though we all knew he was cherrypicked by Floyd. Too bad his own promoter didnt have his back on any aspect of the negotiations including after the contracts were signed. Eventually he lost that fight. So you cant give him credit for a fight that he didn't win even if the odds were against him..

Juan Diaz II - I dont understand why JMM agreed to a rematch.. JMM already knocked him out, plus Diaz was clearly already starting to get exposed as nothing more than a fringe contender especially after fighting Malignaggi. There was really no merit for Marquez to fight him again.

Katsidis - Nothing more than a tune-up. He got big heart, but his skills is really sub par. The fact that a shot Casamayor knocked him out already gave you an indication on the level of fighter he really is...

So there you go.. five fights since moving up to LW and WW.. Four of them in LW against fighters that didnt deserve to share in the same ring as JMM. The one fight that would have given him loads of credit, he lost..

      shanes last few fight

1-mayorga looked bad and qas losing till last minute ko
      2-margo-good ko win
      3-lopsided loss to floyd
      4-draw with sergio

compare that to jmm who unifed a division and only loss after jumping 2 divisions against the slickest fighter in the world

Mosley at least in one of his last 3 fights defeated a top WW. JMM has done nothing of significance in his last 5 fights. On those were on the LW division.

Beating a shot opponent, and getting awarded by the sanctioning body is not exactly impressive.. Clottey fought the top WW's like Marg and Cotto.. Even if he lose he was competitive... And he did beat Judah and Casamayor at the higher weights... Marquez was never competitive against the one fight he had in WW..
