The guy landed his shot on Arthur's elbow. It was typical Abraham fight turtle shell defence he was taking a lot of punches in the first round. It's too late for Arthur to change his style, I've been saying this all along Arthur is C+ fighter at best he always fought smaller journeymen in Germany and even at that he was taking tons of punishment.
He was losing in a fight with Jermain Taylor and landed a lucky punch Taylor was washed up at the time. And Miranda has no chin. I think after he loses to Ward he should retire. He made good money throughout his career.

Just watched it. Actually, Arthur was more active than usual in these first rounds. That's what he was lacking previously and what his trainer wanted.

He was active in the early rounds,but appeared puffed out in between the rounds.I have always believed he has stamina issues,which would explain his low work-rate/punch output and why he hides behind his defense most of the fight.

He looked uncomfortable opening up as early as he did and was forced on the backfoot and to the ropes a few times-when was the last time anyone has seen that from him?
When he was entering the ring he looked disturbed and uncomfortable...the two losses have effected him mentally I believe and having only 1 and a half rounds only added to the questions instead of answers.I'm not sure he even has a fraction of his confidence back.

Abraham is definitely overrated...

Defenitley, on both parts. Abraham has virtually no skills, no speed, nothing good at all going for him except Power. And sure that works against all the bums he fought in Germany... But he will get his ass beat against every real world class fighter.

AA needed to fight not this kind of fight,anyway he lost his anger(just watch his eyes)and he keeps his hands down when he throws punches;after a combo of 4 punches BOZIC hit him with the right easy;i think WARD will stop THE KING,i liked AA and this is not the same fighter......i'm sad!

Maybe you need to watch the fight, rather than see that he won by TKO2 on boxrec, and just randomly write something.

Have you watched the fight yourself? If so - give me a link. I can give you at least two links to the fight, not to say that I commented it live for the Russian forum. And, btw, how had I come to know the time of the stoppage if it wasn't listed at BoxRec at once?

That only reinforces my belief that he has stamina issues (which is why he normally opens up later in the fight).He never puffs out early because he doesn't do **** in terms of work rate.I've probably watched more boxing and many more of his fights than you....next time come up with a debate instead of kindergarten style name-calling.

When the hell have you ever seen Arthur getting backed up like this-as consistent???? The guy creeps forward behind a Winky-Wright style defense and tries to pick his spots to steal the round until late in the fight where he tries to go for a KO-that's his trademark and what most would identify with his style.

Go watch and study more footage of him and learn a bit more.

dude was Abe's sparring partner....they've sparred hundreds of rounds before so you can understand why Abe was more active in the opening 3 minutes than usual.....Abe is fighter who fights every 3-4 months....now since he's invovled in the S6....he's fighting like every 6 months....from 4 times a year to 2.....so he took this fight with his ex sparring partner JUST to stay busy....I doubt if it had anything to do with his confidence imo....just glad that it wasn't Abe who got injured because thats all the S6 would've needed....oh man ....Ward SHOULD be the fav and Abe the dog...no doubt!!....but I like Abe's chances ALOT in that one....Ward likes to fight up close....Abe should get more chances than he got against Dirrell and Froch....but on the flip... the book is out on Abe and Ward is a true student of the game.....that makes a tough task ahead for King Art....very tough!!

SO we learned that AA got lucky with his elbows but nothing much has changed. He will still clam up into his defensive shell against a better fighter and then panic around R10 swinging haymakers looking for a KO. Same/same.
