Comments Thread For: Pacquiao-Mosley: 16,000 Tickets Sold in First Three Hours

LAS VEGAS, NEV. – Pacman Fever hit MGM Grand this morning with one of the biggest ticket runs in Las Vegas boxing history. Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. PT, 16,000 tickets were sold to the Manny Pacquiao vs. Sugar Shane Mosley world welterweight championship. Barely 1,000 seats remain for Pacquiao’s return to the Fight Capital of the World, where he hasn’t fought since 2009.

Looks like Arum made a good business choice picking Molsey over Berto and Bradley. Sucks for us fans who didnt want this fight but the casuals know Shane and thats what matters.

          not fooling us

LOL I wonder how many of those tickets were purchased by bob arum himself... we all know how it goes... it was the same thing when pac fought cotto and when pac had both his fights in cowboy stadium... promoters by up the tickets to sell/ give away to people they want to attend the fight.... hell they've done the same thing to mayweather's fights too.

damn. I'd normally be happy but I'm having bittersweet feelings about this.

So if what you guys are saying is true, what percentage of the crowd at any given fight actually pays?

                    This.

Just ticket master, stub hub, etc buying them as soon as they were available so they can take them off the market and jack up the prices.
