nope, it didn't.

but i'm happy about it since it would only mean more and more casual fans are interested in boxing, which helps the sport in the long run.

i'm assuming only casual fans bought those tickets or will buy those tickets since everyone's claiming NO hard-core, "true" boxing fan would be caught dead watching this fight.

why do people want to downplay something good like this? just because they don't want to see this match? that's rather pathetic of them.

the more casual fans are attracted to the sport, the better it is for everyone in the long run. why don't so called "true" boxing fans see this?

I'm not downplaying anything and I think Pac going to CBS primetime and Show PPV is great for Boxing, as is tickets moving like hotcakes. But still doesn't change that most tickets were probably bought by brokers who will sell them at a higher clip, nothing negative about that.

I think it's hilarious that some people are menstruating all over this thread though

Khan-Maidana had what 4K? Williams-Martinez had about 6k. Bradley-Alexander was a bullshet announced inflated figure of 6k in la la land. The Pac-Margarito fight did 33k, and that was a disappointment. May-Moseley and May-Marquez did not sell out at all. In case you haven't noticed, the economy is still tough and boxing is a tough ticket.

Vegas is in dumps, and their only positive month past two years was Pac-Cotto because Pacquaio brings in asian rollers and the casinos book rooms for his fights more than any other fighter. Of course, Vegas wants Pacquiao.

It's supply and demand.

Brokers are expecting high demand, therefore supply is short.

The fact that secondary market is hot is good indicator in interest of fight.

don't you know that those tickets still get sold anyway? what does it matter.. they are buying them for a reason... because they know it'll sell.
