I think Team Khan wants a clause in the contract, stating that if McCloskey wins then Amir get a rematch, which is fair. But what is not fair is that, if Paul 'dudey' McCloskey wins then Team Khan get a % of money from his next 3 fights, one of which would be a re-match. That is the inside scoop. No good fighter would agree to those terms.

what a ****ing joke, what happened to taking **** money(3 times higher than your highest career payday) if you believe you can win the fight then the massive paydays wll follow.but if you know you have little chance of winning but know you will keep your belt and are looking for a nice payday then just say so

It's hard to take sides when they won't say exactly what the offer/counter offers are. If I had to guess I'd say that it's not McCloskey himself that's asking for too much but rather his promoter. I just can't see a 31 year old giving up a title shot over money, when he knows that if he wins there will be guaranteed good money down the line. How many title shots does he see in his future that he would gamble away such an opportunity? If Paulie, Maidana and Kotelnik could come to terms with Khan, then he can't be that hard to deal with.
