    Prediction: Timmy Bradley Showcase.

A lot has been made of fans selling Devon Alexander short on the heels of his pedestrian performance against Kotelnik. I agree, Kotelnik's high guard was a very bad fit for what Devon brings to the table. Stylistically, Bradley may actually be a more accommodating matchup for Devon. Tim can't raise his gloves and block out all Devon offense the way Kotelnik did. Tim's tendenancy to throw caution to the wind, square up and fire off wild combinations frequently leaves him very exposed. Especially if Devon were to land a well timed uppercut. Hell there were even moments in Bradley/Cherry that Bradley was so out of position and off balance it looked as though he could fall victim to a kd.

However, Bradley has been learning and also knows this. And if he is able to avoid falling onto a nasty counterpunch.. Devon will very much be up the creek without a paddle. Bradley's angles, agility, footwork, handspeed, combination punching and recovery abilities will heavily outweigh slight disadvantages in chin and power. Tim may have to pick himself up off the canvas in order for him to win, but don't be surprised to hear Devon's corner telling him he needs to knock his man out by the last couple rounds.

Following the Carlos Abregu fight, a lot of fans treated Tim as closer to regular than special. However that was at 147 against a sturdy bigger full grown welterweight. On Saturday at 140, expect to see Tim as fast and effective as he's ever been. In all likeliehood, save for any big counter punch disasters.. This will be a big coming out party/showcase for Tim Bradley.

I noticed Bradley looks better than his last fights, he learns and improves. The only thing about him that worries me is he can get too wild at times. But he has the will and heart to continue which what makes him Bradley other than his skill and speed. He can counter well and has very SNEAKY power that'll catch you off guard and knows how to adjust so far it seems. He'll need to have a guard againest Devon's speed and counter when he can to lower Devon's punch output to impose his own gameplan more and win the fight. Easier said than done but Bradley can do it.

His fight at 147, i didn't expect much, heavier weight but he did what he can do. and his counters and willing to go toe to toe at times with the bigger man shows hes a very good fighter. I expect him to be faster and sharper come this saturday, can't wait.

Hes ducking Devon since 10.000 BC. thats why he got stripped of his WBC belt.
        Now he has a flu...LMFO

the balloon head timmeh is going to land a perfect placed headbutt to hurt Alex badly.
He got Abregu hurt after a headbutt, he made Campbell quit with a headbutt.

        his jab, is his head.

Devon is younger, fresher he will murk that ninja turtle.

Bradley has power when he wants to use it, but generally Bradley doesn't fight his fights with the intention of knocking out his opponents. However, when he does sit down on his punches and when he times them just right. They're strong enough to knockdown, very strong guys. I wouldn't be surprised if Tim was able to score a knockdown when Devon tries to do his pull back sit in the pocket sort of movement. Tim's got the speed/movement to catch Devon pulling back in a way that previous opponents were not quick enough accomplish. W/e happens, Saturday should be great.

Great post. Alexander is not gonna be a walk in the park for Timmah. It will be his toughest opponent till date. Nonetheless Timmah should be able to win convincingly because of his versatility and his ability to adjust in fights.

If Timmah puts on a show come Saturday, I will start hugging his nuts.

Isn't this sort of a conflict of interests for you? Coming off a big win, the boxing world won't be able to talk about anything in the 140 lbs division besides Khan/Bradley..
