Super middleweight Mikkel Kessler (43-2, 32 KOs) has once again confirmed that he plans to begin training in March, and around June he wants to return for his fight fight since leaving the Super Six tournment due to a serious eye injury that was causing double-vision during training for a fight with Allan Green in the third stage of the tournament. He was promised to face the winner of ther Super Six tournament upon his return and doesn't like reading some of the recent reports where IBF champion Lucian Bute is being named as the boxer to face the Super Six winner.

Mikkel Kessler withdrew from the tournament. Why should he get to be nice and rested while the Super Six champion still has to get through 2 very tough fights?

If Kessler wants a crack at the winner then he should be forced to fight Lucian Bute for it.

thats a very good call actually. I think Kessler could handle Bute. makes for a cracking rematch vs either Ward or Froch. I think either of those two could take Kessler in the rematch.

Kessler should remember that being on danish soil may have contributed to getting the nod on what was a very tight fight and it could easily have gone against him either in the UK or a neutral venue.

have to also wonder what the eye issue has taken out of his confidence. he only has to get a few digs in it to start worrying about long term damage...and whoever he fights will know that too

Yea in ya back yard Kessler,next fight out side of Kessler's hometown Froch win's..Kessler should worry about that eye that Froch open up for now tho lol..

All hype because Froch never said anyting about ending Kessler's career. He simply said when asked if he felt like he needed to avenge the Kessler loss, he said "Not really, I don't think Kessler will box again, at the end of the day I'm still fighting, Kessler isn't."

However he also admitted that it was Ward's dirty tactics that almost ended Kessler's career saying "If that was anywhere but Oakland, it would have been a DQ win for Kessler."

Moreover, it's definitely a fight I wouldn't mind seeing again, there's no point doing it in the US, maybe Kessler should go to Froch's backyard this time. Let's wait and see how Froch does in his next fight, possibly next few fights first .

Kessler did not with draw, he was injured there is a difference! He agreed to give up his WBC belt to have first crack at the winner so he has sacrifised something to get something ... Lucian Bute needs to bring something like what Kessler did!

Kessler deserves the Super Six winner more than Bute. Who the hell has Bute fought and/or beaten in comparison to Kessler?
