Former junior middleweight champion Fernando Vargas is no stranger to the topic of steroids and understands the paranoia by boxers who believe their opponents are using performance enhancing drugs. Vargas tested positive for stanozozol following his 11th-round knockout loss to Oscar De La Hoya in Las Vegas in September 2002. Vargas was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for nine months and paid a $100,000 fine after the stanozolol turned up in a post-fight urinalysis.
I was 130 lbs when I was 16 and I was solid and in shape. As an adult Im 165 , a gain of 35 lbs but I am not in the greatest shape. I guess if I ran and worked out hard I would be about 150 solid. ....Makes me wonder too.
As for Pacs point of view on the testing being close to the fight.
That was only the initial excuse because now he is OK with it right?
So he WAS mentally affected and all the other excuses...but not anymore right?...So I guess its just up to Floyd to accept his new feeling on things.
I agree with vargas 100%, both sides have a point. Pac said he'll take the test just not too close to the fight, and they can test him right after. That should make it all good for everyone. All floyd needs to do is step up to the plate and lets make this **** happen.
Rattza Ruck gettin the GREAT AVOIDER to Stop PUNKING OUT!!!
Sense El BOY CHEATED Marquez, by coming in two lb's
over the WW Limit...
Why not charge the CHEATER a $10mil per pound Penalty
....UPPER****???
Hey, hey Jb what's up? Long time. Let me talk in your language "HULK SMASH" or what about.... "Me Tarzan like Jane" Ha ha ha! Nah, seriously though, that was a catchweight fight (144LBs) Floyd is a WW. He may have not made weight for the catchweight but he never had problems making weight at 147 before. If Floyd couldn't make weight, then he wouldn't have agreed to 10MIL penalty weight fee. The ball was in Pac's court after that little buddy.
I think Roach was bluffing with that demand. Freddie wasn't sure if Floyd could make the weight and figured he would put a large penalty on there, thinking Floyd would be hesistant or struggle to make weight but but that wasn't the case and the plan back fired. I could imagine their faces like "Money Mayweather agreed to 10MIL penalty weight fee?" Oooooohhhh Noooooo.
Correct me if i am wrong vargas said they shouldnt test to close to the fight, but they should be tested before and after the fight? That doesnt makes sense, please elaborate
Testing AFTER the Fight dosen't work for U UPPER****???
Don't be ridiculous.
The terms that Team Pacquiao demanded during the only official negotiation would have allowed for a potential 21-day juicing window, and the standard 3-day flush.
So NO, of course " Testing AFTER the Fight dosen't work for " me.
