The problem is floyds not in a position to make unprecedented demands. He's not talking to a dude ranked below him, he's talking by most rankings to the dude above him. The reason the weight penalty was implemented is because Floyd blatantly camibn overweight against Marquez an already smaller fighter that was moving up two weight classes.

Pacquiao never failed any drug test or was ever suspected that's the difference, but Mayweather Sr and the whole camp pre-meditated a slander campaign against Pacquiao. They demanded something that has never been done in boxing and knew Pacquiao's team would not agree without negotiation trying to divert the blame away from Floyd. You never heard any of this come out of their mouths until people started talking about this fight and demanding it. It was never an issue until Pacquiao became a threat!!!! I don't rememeber Floyd ever demanding this of any other opponent before the first negotiations started, and he had no choice to do the same with Mosley when the Pac negotiations fell through without looking like a complete hypocrite.

Catchweight fights were here even before Floyd was born. Its a fight between a small fighter vs a big fighter. Neither want to go up or go down in their division so they agreed to meet at the middle. Sound fair enough but not the catchweight fight Floyd vs JMM where Floyd came 2 lbs overweight on their contractual weight agreement.

OST is good for boxing or to any other sports but should be governed by a boxing commission not by a certain individual for request and should be done all year round not just 2 months as Floyd originally plan. Doctors and experts alreay pointed out the danger of taking blood samples too close to the fight. Floyd 14 days offered was declined at first as Pac team wanted a bit further from the fight and so the fight fell apart. But declining 7 days cut off Pac team offered and went to vacation?

Ross Greenburg is the ****ing head of HBO, the big pink elephant in the room. He rarely comes out and says anything controversial. When all that bull**** came out that there were no negotiations everyone was trying to get greenburg to clear it all up but at first he refused to talk and tried to let it all die down. i dont think asking for OST is a big deal and if both fighters (pac, floyd) are willing to participate. there is no advantage for either fighter.

not taking the OST when the fight means it will be your highest payday does raise su****ion it really does; only blindly obsessed pac fans cant understand that logic

but at the same time asking for OST when it is not the norm in boxing clearly show the doubt floyd has in winning the fight and insecurity that pac cant naturally be that good (floyd "better than me") beating opponents he beat in better fashion and beating fighters he never wanted to fight (cotto, margo)
