The only way a fight with Marquez is competitive is if it's at 135.

At 147, Mosley is clearly the better fighter. Only an idiot or nuthugger would think otherwise.

THEORETICALLY, Marquez can pull in the numbers on cinco de mayo weekend.
However, actual gate recorded on his last few fights wasn't encouraging.

If you compare Floyd-JMM and Floyd-Shane, revenue wise; and then consider
that Shane's a lot less hassle to deal with, then from a business and personal
standpoint (Arum simply hates Schaefer, Pac's tired of JMM's whining), Shane
easily gets the nod.

I'd have preferred Martinez at 154, but a big opponent was ruled out early.
Even Berto would have been nicer from a paper legacy POV, for WW strap #2.
Bottom line is nearly anyone is going fall short of Floyd Jr., as Pac's opponent.
