But, at the end of the day, winning the vacant WBC title at 140 where neither fighter has done anything to deserve a high ranking is still be considered as winning a bogus title right?

Juan Manuel Marquez' last 8 fights

      Katsidis
      Diaz
      Mayweather
      Diaz
      Casamayor
      Pacquiao
      Juarez
      Barrera

I think the guy deserves an easy opponent, plus it's a fun fight and it's a fight thats' missing from the Pacquiao/Barrera/JMM/Morales saga. I'm sure Marquez will get right back to business after the bout and challenge some young lion from 140. Meanwhile Pacquiao will fight Mosley and go on to fight Yuri Foreman at a catchweight of 143 and demand that Foreman have his knee broken before the fight.

          Exactly, nuff' said.

This you can't compare this fight to the Pac-Mosley. The Pac-Mosley is just crap the JMM-Morales is forgivable.

Thats pretty much what it comes down to. JMM is 37yo, past his prime, if having to carry weight up at his age isnt enought he will be at a physical disadvantage against any future opponent at higher weights. Pacquiao is p4p #1, an ATG, in his prime and has wayyyy bigger shoes to fill than the older fading JMM. He never seems to be in an easy fight and maybe its because of his age. Morales has more of a chance on getting in on 37yo JMM than Mosley does on Pacquiao I dont care how many of ****m and Mosley's deep underdog quotes are posted leading up to the fight.

Yup, I agree that Mosley is past prime but has done more than Morales in the last 5-6 years. Same can be said about Margarito.

Im sorry this fight is BS and it blows.

I love JMM. This fight is disgraceful. El Terrible is DONE. Completly no need at all for this fight. This is sad and pathetic on both fronts.

Sad that Morales is still fighting and its sad that a Top guy like JMM would even consider fighting him. Embarassing.

Ahh, no....Not at all, Morales is a shot to **** fighter. He has been shot. JMM is still a P4P level fighter. I don't give Morales a shot. And, for it to possibly be for the vacant WBC title at 140 is bogus. Since neither has done anything to deserve a shot at 140.

But, where it is forgivable. Is that JMM has had a hell of a run since 2008.

                    2008- Fights Pacquiao.

Then in his very next fight, moves up in weight and fights the lineal LW champ in Casamayor.

Then in his very next fight, fights the #1 contender in Diaz (FOTY).

Then in his very next fight, goes up 2 weight-classes and fights Mayweather.

Then in his very next fight, goes back down to LW to fight a rematch of the FOTY from the previous year.

Then in his very next fight, fights the #1 contender (most likely another FOTY).

After that kind of run he deserves, gimme, money fight. Plus it would complete the fab 4.

If Pac would of fought P-Will, Berto, or Bradley back in November. Then I would not mind Mosley. I would have that thinking of he deserves a gimme money fight. But, he already had it and now is time to get serious again. But, it seems like all he wants now is gimme money fights.

If JMM after Morales goes for another gimme money fight. Then he deserves criticism. But, for now is forgivable and he deserves this type of gimme, money fight. Plus it leaves room for the LW picture to clear up more. Since the top 5 contenders all have fights lined up already.
