Well, i can't dispute you with Bob's not wanting to deal with Floyd. There's obviously much bad blood between them, and its well within the realm of reason to suspect Bob not wanting to put more money into Floyd's pocket.

Floyd or Oscar. He has a lot of pride and IMO why would he want to share his success with another company or with guys that fired him? Its all ****** and isn't helping the sport. Its not only Bob, but he's the veteran out of the group and you would think he would make something happen. Not making guys leave GBP to fight his guys. That simple fact alone really shows just how interested he was in Floyd who's co-promoter is GBP. Bob is getting exactly what he wanted and as we all can see, Floyd has nothing to do with it.

Ok hold up. Your saying that Mayweather avoided Margarito but
you post a quote stating why the fight didn't happen? I don't
get you. Cotto and Hatton were next to fight Floyd and the fight(s)
didn't happen. Hatton team said they needed more time and Arum
didn't want to put Cotto in with Floyd and that's why he moved up
to WW and vacated his title at 140. I don't think any fighter is
scared because it takes a lot to train and fight but at the end of
the discussion. Cotto wasn't ready when Floyd was so how can
Floyd have ducked Cotto? Cotto had to get his stats up to have
a chance at Floyd. All of a sudden Floyd ducked Cotto? That's
some backwards thinking right there. Would you fight Margarito,
or go after the Lineal championship and then Oscar? You guys
kill me with this ducking label put on Floyd. Oscar at 154 had
a better chance at beating Floyd, then Margarito at 147 in my
opinion. Oscar had size, reach, gloves, ring, Roach and he sparred
with Mosley.

I mean, it's cool to have an opinion but it's not cool for people
to continue to make up facts that NEVER even happened. Cotto
and Hatton wasn't ready and Arum wasn't trying to oblige Mayweathers
demands, simple as that. It's documented. Arum has been running
the same campaign about Floyd being scared of his fighters but
he hates and refuses to break bread with Floyd. Don't take my word
for it. Just ask Arum himself.........




I know that these quotes and facts don't mean anything on
Boxingscene because all it really is, is hate on here. the truth

You guys need to look past rational reasoning as to why the Pac/Mayweather fight never came off. It was never really about drug testing, nor is it about compensation. Those things are to simple. Floyd never really wanted this fight period, nor does he really want any fight that could potentially be viewed as threatening, since he's decided to take an extended vacation and now look where that has gotten him.

With as massive an ego as he has, why hasn't he been pulled back into the ring, for some fighters it's an addiction? I mean really ask yourself that one simple question...all fighters love the limelight, so why hasn't he come back yet? The reason is because he knows he's running out of soft options, so in turn he brings up various roadblocks and deflections to make it appear as if he "sincerely" wanted the Pac fight. Look forget Pac...what about Martinez? Or even Khan vs Mayweather? In England this fight would do huge numbers and we all know Floyd loves money. It's clear as day as to what this is all about. The answer lies in the psychological makeup of Floyd. His life revolves around keeping that "0" intact, once he loses it I guarantee he's headed to a bad place in his own mind. He is a great boxer make no mistake about it, but along the way he changed and can't seem to find his way back because there is danger along the path. I mean for christ sakes fight anyone, **** fight Henry Bruseles again...fight ANYONE.

what mayweather does with his personal life is his business and just like with anybody else the law will takes its course.but in the ring he's one of the greatest,smartest,and skilled fighter to ever glove up. people can hate all they want to but he'll whip all your favorite fighters easily including pac.

I'd much rather go for the Lineal title and 20Mil for Oscar
then fight a guy that has been overrated since day one
and proved it by cheating to beat guys smaller than him.

Disappointment is an understatement. HOF'er? Yes. Great fighter? Yes. But after surprising me by fighting Mosley we're back to this **** again. Martinez would be nice.
