Comments Thread For: Arthur Abraham Eyes February 26 Bout Before Andre Ward

Before Arthur Abraham moves forward in the Super Six tournament, he will likely have a tune-up fight. Abraham tells Trud that he's possibly going to return on February 26. Abraham is trying to reboost his career after suffering a lopsided decision loss to Carl Froch on November 27. Abraham is scheduled to face WBA champion Andre Ward, the tournament leader, in the Super Six semi-finals.

Odd move. He should just work in the gym. A new trainer with new impulse would help him. Not a silly tune-up with injury-risk.

would be interesting to see what Showtime would have to say if he does end up injured.

he wont stand a chance against a good smw eitherway, his boxing is too limited, but a move back to mw would be a ***** move like his trainers said.

Even an alcoholic Pavlik could beat Abraham at this stage.

Honestly if this doesnt interfere with the Ward fight then its a great idea. Its a confidence booster and that can never hurt. He can work on some new tricks in the gym and have a chance to test them out. Now all he has to do is switch trainers and hes set.

Damn! Arthur has really lost his confidence. Froch messed him up and he got a reality check.

Might be a good idea, He need to work on dealing with movement and let his hands go more often.
