It seems like Pacquiao always fights guys only when they don't appear to be dangerous

I gotta be honest. The pattern started with Morales after the Raheem fight even though the rematch was still somewhat necessary. He catces these guys just at the right time when they are coming off unimpressive performances. It doesn't take a genius to figure this out.

The Barrera rematch - Barrera had just came off a war against JMM and lost.
The JMM rematch - This is the only guy who you can honestly say was at thet op of his game that Pac has fought in the last few years
David Diaz - A total gimmie fight for Pac. Struggled with a nobody with a knockoutless record on the undercard of JMM-Pac 2.
Oscar - Got busted up by a non puncher in Steve Forbes with the cheek bone thing
Hatton - He destroyed Malinaggi and all that, but what about the time he nearly got KOd by Lazcano
Cotto - Barely survived against a low intensity fighter in Clottey
Clottey - What was the point in this fight?
Margarito - I can actually understand this fight and wasn't all that mad with it, just the aspect of the title even though I didn't like the way Margarito looked against Garcia
Mosley - Coming off two horrible performances.

And another thing that needs to be touched on too, is the fact that even though this fight with Mosley isn't at a catch weight, it's gonna be at 147 which in reality makes the fight less competitive in my view because Mosley last fought at 154 against Mora.

It seems like Pacquiao just catches guys at the right time. He could've put all this criticism to bed if he just sat idle for a couple months and await the winner of the Bradley-Alexander fight since their excuse was that Berto is unproven (which he is) and JMM is too small or priced himself out or whatever.

And even though Mosley might beat JMM due to the size factor, that don't change the fact he's still not a tougher fight for Pacquiao like Merchant and the rest of Pacquiao's blind fans are letting on like. His jab and foot work has always been garbage and he's lost to every boxer he's faced except for the first Oscar fight. Pacquiao just fought Margarito and let him come in at 152 so why can't he let Mosley come in like that too? Pacquiao deserves all this heat he is getting even though it seems tiring to get on this site and see the forums are filled with this very topic. Floyd shouldn't have anything to do with Pacquiao's choice of opponents now because there are still top guys out there for Manny to fight.

these threads are a dime a dozen. The same rhetoric over and over. I dont know why you feel the need to waste all this time making it. No one ever reads more than 2 sentences, at the most.

You think youve started a revolution, but really, youre acting like we haven't seen the same mess regurgitated waste before.

Theres gonna be about 7 ass-holes who only read the title and say stuff like "good thread bro"

"omg mannys just take the tests"

Its gonna be a new year, we're still gonna see the same ****. It never ends.

Honestly that's the one and only thing that makes his career a joke compared to others. You think about it and he's had a pretty easy life in the ring compared to fighters in the past. Aside from 2 fights he's never had to be in a dangers fight.

Every fight has been handicapped in his favor. I'm surprised that you can actually get away with that in Boxing.

            good thread bro.

I like how he was jmw champ after the Tony fight then when Martinez came knocking all the sudden he bitched out and claimed to be too small.

            Yeah, in the pants.

                Okay... I'll play, Iceta.

The Barrera rematch - was agreed before MAB faced JMM and lost.
                Check your history, man.

The JMM rematch - tough fight.

David Diaz - was a tuneup, first time at that weightclass,
but yes: it was a cherrypick with a belt on top.

Oscar - No, Oscar called Pac out, not the other way around.
Who picked whom, and got ass****d in the end?
Should Pac have turned Oscar down?

Hatton - He still beat Paulie, but yes, this was a fat cherrypick.
Big money, a strap and lineal. Hard to pass up.

Cotto - Not bad at all for a tuneup on entering a new weightclass.

Clottey - This was a keep-busy fight, before the Philippine elections'
serious campaign period kicked in. No one else was available, remember?
Pac-Floyd had gone to crap, Mosley was signed to fight Berto,
                and Margs was banished.

Margarito - This should NOT have been for a title.
Not a bad first-time opponent at JMW, though.

Mosley - This is just utter shit. I think JMM could have been as profitable
and entertaining, especially on cinco de mayo weekend, but TR and GBP
just can NOT get along, and so we have this.

                Still... hindsight is 20/20.
Even the cherry-picks I ackowledge above, at the time they were made,
didn't seem like they were cherry-picked, except for Hatton who
almost everyone knew was ripe for the taking.

A lot of folks thought Pac had merely even odds vs. Diaz, when it was signed.
Almost no one gave Pac a chance against Oscar when the fight was signed.
A lot of folks thought Pac had barely-even odds vs. Cotto when it was signed.
