Povetkin is incredible gunshy..is this the same Povetkin that overwhelmed Chambers with punches in bunches? Atlas killed this guy

If Firtha's jab troubled Povetkin that much, he better keep avoiding the Klitschko brothers. I just hope this is the last we will see of him against this type of opposition, but I doubt that to be the case, considering how unimpressive he was. This fight promises more and more tune-ups for Povetkin in the future.

Povetkin looks out of shape as well, really soft around the midsection, is this the "improvement" Atlas was talking about a year and half ago? He brought Povetkin down to look like a tomato can against journeymen, he's now struggling to win a decision against guys that he should take out within the 1st or 2nd rd

In all his prior fights with teddy when Povetkin gets inside he'll work his combinations very nicely. He struggled to get inside vs Firtha and when he occasionally did Firtha would tie him up or manage to create some more space with his feet.

You guys are a joke blaming Teddy Atlas for Povetkin fighting like a woman.

It's not like Atlas has a shock collar on his balls and is gonna electrocute Povetkin if he opens up and throws a few combos.

Povetkin just doesn't have the heart anymore. He made a few bucks, bought himself a nice fur coat, and now he doesn't give a **** anymore.

lets just hope they're sanctioned tune up fights.

That's one way to look at it, but I believe Atlas has probably advised him to be a more thinking fighter instead of just throwing volume like he used to, but it's not really working for him.
