Mr. Buffer has a great relationship with the Klitschkos and K2, and will always make the trip to Germany to MC their fights. They probably pay him a pretty penny for the 18+ hour trip.

      Buffer is at 0:18

Buffer is mint when he casually slips into the the local tongue when abroad. Whenever I go to an event though I seem to get Jimmy "iiiiit's showtime" Lennon leading proceedings. He still gets me fired up but it aint quite as good. Buffer was good when he was saying who was ringside in Manchester for Hatton vs Lazcano. Listed off loads of Stars; Mike Tyson, Wayne Rooney.... he then announced an average British actor called Neil Morrisey and the crowd burst out laughing

Basically he was hired to go to Germany for the Klitschko fight, which is fair enough. That fight got cancelled, HBO already hired the other guy, so Buffer just went to the fight as a fan. Tbh, the guy wasn't that bad. I think the problem is that, Buffer is just so impeccable! He's too good at what he does, a once in a life time type of MC, and Jimmy Lennon Jnr is pretty bad ass too....in them two we had great ring announcers, you can't replace that kind of thing. But trust me, this guy on Saturday was MUCH better than what we have in UK....the UK MC's sound horrid and just shout REALLY loud. One fight Jimmy Lennon Jnr came to and I was SO HAPPY, made a huge difference to the fight and the buzz it gave the crowd.

Personally i prefer Jimmy Lennon jnr. Buffer imo is just a parody of himself these days, you can tell what he's going to say and how he's going to say it. Great orator, but no real originality or imagination in the way he introduces people. Lennon is much better at creating the hype and working the crowd, but Buffer is good at reading out the sponsors.
