Peppered? He'd be a flattened by a straight right to the jaw he never saw coming. Don't know why in the world they would make this fight.

Boxing is acting like a corrupt government right now and it's not a good look for boxing. Had Smoe Cortez did his job lastnite we would be talking about slow, sloppy ass but tough Maidana winning by 10th round stoppage instead of all these BS writers online trying to spin this BS!!!!!!!!
why does Pac & Floyd have to face Martinez?..why arent you saying Martinez needs to be facing pascal or froch or ward??

Lmao@ you lames needed to bring bigger fighters down in weight to compete with Manny & Floyd.

      You guys are pathetic

I don't think Marg was so clearly the best WW out there when he beat Cotto and I don't think Mosely was when he beat him.

It's just how things and the fights in terms of order, worked out, and who was/wasn't around.

Fact is Manny faced Marg when Floyd didn't, and anyone he's faced whom Floyd has he's pretty much beaten more convincingly for the most part. Same may well go for Mosely.

There's not exactly a ton of more guys Manny can face at WW, there is however for Floyd accrued over the years. He could make up for that by at last facing the obvious guy above him in the division and p4p rankings, but instead there's a sense he might get away with it again by facing Khan. Ultimately, a shame. I think that's more a perfect way of fooling the public by Floyd again, more than anything else.
wow...im sure you dont even believe this. Fact is...Clottey & Margarito have never been on the p4P list.....Mosley was P4P #3 and ranked #1 @ WW..just because Marg & Clottey were bigger than Manny doesnt mean they were tougher fights!! Margarito has always been a hype job on behalf of Bob Arum....just because YOU think they are tough fights doesnt mean much. Fact is Mayweather easily handled the #2 & #3 P4P fighters...JMM & Mosley....the same Marquez whom a year earlier had a SD with Manny and a Shane Mosley who already knocked out Margarito and whom TEAM PAC was afraid to fight last year.

Lets stop with the cow dung homey. Men Lie, Women Lie & #'s dont

Why mention SRR with the likes of Ali, Whitaker, even Floyd?

Neither one of them are runners. But, SRR was way more offensive and had a much more killer instinct than those 3. And, those 3 were more defensive minded than SRR. Even though SRR wasn't no slouch on defense. However, SRR would stalk you more so than he would fight off the back foot.

Well I know the difference between all of these fighters. But a lot of these guys are "pure boxers" and thats who these clowns considers runners. I prefer the "running" style of boxing over the slugger brawler style...I admire the beauty over the brutality as well as seeing another fighter totally outclass the other guy basically without getting hit. Some calling boring..i call it preservation. But then again, not every fighter can be blessed with superb technical boxing skills....

Well SRR wasn't really a pure boxer and that is my point...

SRR was not a slugger brawler either. But, I think depending on one's definition of such styles. SRR would fall under the slugger brawler type more so than the pure boxer type JMO.

It's obvious that GBP's push is to salvage whatever's left before they fold...

I think that Khan is getting better but still not good enough against Mayweather. Perhaps a couple more fights but that would be too late for Mayweather who is quasi-retired.

But if anything is good, is that Khan has been getting the Pacquiao-like flush combinations that can upstage anyone within the weight division. Just needed to JAB to learn how to keep opponents at bay. And how to properly CLINCH (he can learn from Mayweather on this one).

Khan still is a bit too raw for the superlative Mayweather...
