Who does Brandon Rios (a contender) thinks he is,,,, to be telling a 3-Time/Divisional World Champion (Humberto Soto) what to do?
What has Brandon Rios done to deserve a shot at Soto’s WBC title, when Rios is WBC #3 ranked?
Here’s this kid loudmouthing that he wants Soto to defend his title against him, when he’s not even the mandatory.
What has Rios done to feel he can try to dictate Soto's terms?
What has Rios done to deserve a shot at Soto’s title???
Rios has beaten NO ONE.
Soto has already established himself as a dominant force in the 130-135lbs division, having captured 3 World Titles (WBC 126lbs, WBC 130lbs., and WBC 135lbs), and scaring Pac, JMM, MAB, EM, Valero (when he was alive), and so many others into NOT fighting him.
Why should Soto give an up and comer like Rios an oppurtunity to fight for his WBC title, when Rios is ranked #3 and hasn’t worked his way to the top?
Is it OK for Rios to "cut in line"?
When Soto was #1 mandatory contender ranked to Pacman, Valero and Marquez’s then 130, 135lbs titles, they all ducked him.
So, why should Soto give Rios an underserivng shot, when Soto didn’t get his due shot at Pac, JMM, Valero?
Rios needs to "earn his stripes" and work his way up the rankings, and earn the right to fight Soto, by becoming the WBC #1 Mandatory Contender.
What?? Rios wants a “shortcut” and “cut in line” to fight for Soto’s WBC title?
How convenient for a kid that hasnt fought anybody yet.
Soto has more than twice the fights than Rios (Soto-64 pro fights; Rios-26 pro fights), is a 3-time World Champion, and this kid-Rios is telling Soto what he(Soto) should do???
In Rios’s 26 pro fights, he’s fought nothing but bums and a couple of overrated contenders, yet he feels he should make Soto ( a 3-Time/Divisional World Champion) what to do??
Soto is a 3-Time World Champion and could do what he wants at this stage in his career.
If Rios wants to fight for Soto’s WBC title, Rios needs to earn the right to fight for that WBC title, by going through gatekeepers like Antillon, Funeka, Juan Diaz, etc.
recently, Rios was to have fought Noe Bonalos on the Dec. 4th Chavez-Gomez PPV undercard, but Rios chickened-out cause he knew Bonalos is a tough brawler, so Rios had Arum remove him from that card, and fight on the Pac-Margarito undercard against a safer feather-fisted boxer named Omri L.
Rios doesnt want to go through the "wear and tear" that most contenders have to go through.
