They were paying him 750k for Urango. Which was after the Collazo fight.

I agree a fight with Collazo or Jones does nothing for Dre imo. How many people know who they are? He will get 0 credit for beating either guy. The only viable option I see at WW is Clottey. Cintron looked ok in his three and a half rounds vs Williams before jump gate. No matter who he fights I have the feeling that he will get no credit. I'm not even really a Berto fan, but I don't understand all the hate for this guy.

Most of the guys mentioned are at 154 including Callazo. If people feel Berto priced himself too high for Mosley then the same should be said of Callazo when it came to the rematch with Berto. People (boxing fans) have extremely short memories. Berto pretty Much stalked Shane Mosley for about a year. Shane said he wasn't interested in giving a young fighter like Berto a set back and ruining his career. That is why Shane was inactive after Margarito. He wanted Mayweather/Pac and eventually settled for Berto after a great deal of time passed. The only fight I can really see being realistically made right now is with Cintron at a catch weight between 154 and 147. That should be the easiest to make. I was disappointed in the Forbes fight, indifferent to the Urango fight and feel people don't give enough credit for the Quintana fight. There was no point to Hernandez fight whats so ever. He should have fought his mandatory or Mike Jones instead. He can't get the fight he wants witch is Cotto so its time to cut your losses and take the next biggest name. A fight with Khan would actually be a good fight that deserves credit. Berto could lose that fight so that in itself makes it legit to me.

Collazo was well within his rights to ask for something at least close to a 50/50 split. In a recent title fight Berto only drew 500 people in his home state?!?!?!? WTF??? He definitely needs to start with a Collazo rematch at 147-154. Paul Williams, Kermit Cintron, Miguel Cotto, Bradley at 147,or Kotelnik at 147.

berto and mosley never even fought. berto demanding 50/50 split with mosley coming off a loss is the ******est ***** i ever heard. mosley is the A-side in that fight not berto.

next best opponent imho is clottey. clottey has fought marg, pwill, cotto, and pac. if berto could beat the ***** outta clottey worst than these guys, I think berto would get a lot of credit.

Collazo did what Winky Wright did after The draw with Taylor. He was disappointed in the judges and basically took his ball and went home. That fight could have been made if Collazo wanted it. I really like Lui and wish he would have taken the fight so he could fight on HBO again.

We will find out more about Khan's chin and skill against pressure this weekend. I think the guy has enough ability to be elite eventully at 147lbs. I'm not sure with Berto's timing that he will be able to get to his chin to check it.
