somebody answer this, why was a movie made about MICKEY WARD?

Mickey Ward has an interesting story involving his relationship with his brother and his rise as a pro-boxer.

Mickey wrote a book on his life, and several important people took interest in and decided to make a movie.

I still can't understand why they left out the Gatti fights? If anything is worthy of Hollywood surely it's the Gatti-Ward battles...

Hollywood would only ruin it.

Trying to find someone to play Gatti would be a nightmare.

The fights are so well documented.

Movies tend to create bad guys and good guys.

Who's the nemesis?

Gatti?

Thanks for posting... Was kind of hoping the movie would have the gatti fights in it..

I was also hoping for the fights to be in the movie, or at least brought up. I cannot wait for this movie to come out, could not be a better cast for this film.

But I understand why they took it out.

You had so much story and drama outside the ring its hard to get to that point.

You'd probably need a whole another movie to tell the story.

So far its getting a lot acclaim.

There's a lot buzz about Bale getting a Oscar nomination.

I'm hyped for this movie.

Bale is a genius.....iv'e liked almost every film he has ever made.

My fave is prob still American Psycho.
