    Victor Ortiz vs Lamont Peterson

I feel like everyone is sleeping on this fight. This is a big fight for BOTH guys.

How do you guys see this fight going?

Does Victor still have the "Vicious" in him? Can Lamont Peterson subdue Ortiz by heavy pressure? Has Lamont seen too much of a beating fighting Bradley?

Both guys are coming off wins and about to send one or the other back in the rankings. LETS GET IT ON

I like this fight and can see it going either way. I was not that impressed by Ortiz in his fight against Campbell BUT it looks like Ortiz might have loosened up against Vivian Harris as we can see

And I cant find Petersons KO of Damian Fuller but here are highlights from Bradley Peterson

By Dan Ambrose: Number #1 ranked WBA/WBO light welterweight contender Victor Ortiz (28-2-1, 22 KO’s) has an important fight this Saturday night on the undercard of the Amir Khan vs. Marcos Maidana clash at the Mandalay Bay Resort & casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ortiz, still only 23, has won four straight fights since being stopped by Maidana last year in June and is looking to get a win over Lamont Peterson (28-1, 14 KO’s) to keep in line for a shot against either the Khan-Maidana winner or the Timothy Bradley vs. Devon Alexander winner in January.

The southpaw Ortiz has big power and will have the speed and power advantage over the 26-year-old Peterson on Saturday. However, Ortiz is going to need to be prepared for a tough fight because Peterson won’t just fold and give up if Ortiz starts off well. Peterson stuck around for the full 12 rounds in a lopsided 12 round decision loss to Bradley last year in December. While Peterson continued to get dominated even into the later rounds of the fight, he never stopped coming forward and trying to make a fight of it with Bradley.

But unfortunately for Peterson, he didn’t have the boxing skills or the power needed to beat Bradley. He’ll likely have even more problems against Ortiz because he’s both bigger and stronger than Bradley and he’s a very good boxer as well. Peterson is going to be getting hit really hard in this fight and from an opposite angle that he’s used to getting hit. Ortiz has knockout power in both hands, as he showed in his last fight, a 3rd round blowout win over former World Boxing Association (WBA) light welterweight champion Vivian Harris on September 18th.

There is no reason why Lamont Peterson should lose to Ortiz, but he will. Just like his brother lost to a less talented Rios. I don't know what the hell is going on with them.

Peterson better box and forget about applying heavy pressure. The Bros. are boxers I can't understand why they dumbass trainer has them trying to **** with people. I will admit though the trainer Hunter was giving A. Peterson the right advice in the corner during the fight with Rios but the guy just didn't listen.

I dont know I think Lamont is on a different Game than his brother Anthony. Lamont trains harder and fights with more bravado. I think Ortiz might be pressured too much and lose. Ortiz MUST keep his composure and use his footwork to stay away from ****ing with Peterson.

That being said I feel Lamont has what it takes to beat ortiz. so I got Peterson with a win. probably stoppage after pressuring ortiz too much

I just hope it's a good fight. I'm not a fan of either really. I liked Ortiz until he quit in that maidana fight. And one of my good homeboys suffered his first defeat to Peterson in the amateurs. I just want both of the fights to be entertaining

It will be cause Peterson loves to **** and Ortiz has power behind the punch

Lamont Peterson will win this fight. Ortiz is not an elite fighter.
