This is the same **** that went/is going on with Margarito/Cotto. Gamboa taking harder fights and all while the other gets build up in his own hype. Lopez is already just like Mayweather with his diva acts.

Intriguing matchup, unsure on who I favor at the moment, regardless of that, great news for boxing fans I really hope this fight happens.

Gamboa relies too much on his athleticism to get him through fights, which makes his technique sloppy. Keeping his hands down as part of his defensive tactics doesn't help much either. A vastly slower Salido was able to knock him down as well. I believe that John is going to outbox him for 12 rounds and keep him at the end of his jab. However, as critical as I am of Gamboa's sole reliance on athleticism, his athleticism is a marvel and overwhelms many.

I thought it would have taken more time for something like this to happen. I sure am glad I was wrong.

Love this match-up! Little late for John, but still he's lucky being given the chance again.
