Right but Margarito has the same handler. So it's really Floyd...no?

Margarito has his manager but they have the same promoter... And yes even Floyd.. Obviously even if you share the same promoter, the promoter still needs to negotiate with the manager..

The Margarito fight took about a day to make. In fact, they spent more time trying to secure a license for Tony than they did "trying" to make a fight with Floyd. So your point just doesn't hold water.

This is after May-Pac negotiations failed.. Obviously in-house promotion would be a lot faster.. And especially in case of Marg since he doesnt have leverage.. Floyd negotiations if it progresses will obviously take a lot longer...

That clearly a timeline was irrelevant. It would only take them a day to make an alternative fight so why was their a deadline imposed on Mayweather negotiations? They had to wait weeks for Margarito to get a license so clearly there wasn't any rush to have everything signed, sealed and delivered.

Because Mayweather said no outright. If there was compromises, it might take them a lot longer.... Well that's according to Greenburg...
