shane is being a poor fool, fair play for him fighting the best, but he doestnt deserve to after his recent fights, and i dont bergrudge him a big pay day,but he needs to know it could be his last payday and it will tarness his career if he gets beat bad again.

he should fight cotto, berto, williams, brawl, maybe win, maybe KO them all, retire on a good run.

his ego is telling him he can catch pac and he wont have problems with mannys speed, movement and counters.

manny will jab his face off, have too much movement for mosley to land any clean punches when he wants to,mosley will get frustrated and swing opengin him up for pacs counter shots.

manny only lets people land when he wants them to,to test and prove himself vs them,if he wanted to go a whole fight without any meaningful shots landed on him he could, but he likes to please the crowd by making fights look more competitive.(in cotto, margarito and clottey fights especially)

i cant see shane having the stamina, workrate, movement to catch pac,he will get caught so much with his rigid right in front of you upper body that is so easy to hit by pacman,He may think his reach might help, but margaritos reach didnt help him!

he wont be able to deal with pacs speed, his combinations, all his movememnt, turning shane constantly, moving in and out so unpredictably.

if he strugled vs cotto he has little to no chance vs pacman.

pacs people around him need to choose an opponent on best form, which is marquez, who would also be more predictable and less powefull, but give more aclaim if he beat marquez.

pac will get blsted for beating some one floyd just beat badly, marquez v floyd can be blamed on weight only, but mosley has no good excuse.

mosely looks old and not effective enough to beat any top guy at the moment.
maybe if shane beat berto and another guy like williams or cotto he would be a respctable opponent for pac, even though this is another pac keeping busy wating for floyd fight version 2.

but marquez appears to outside world that he is a threat to pac becuase he beat 2 bigger stronger brawlers in diaz and katsidis.

even though that still doesnt mean he will be as effective as before agaisnt manny, and especially at a slightly higher weight, with pac being bigger and stronger and more improved.

how has marquez dramatically improved since the last pac fight to say he beats pac convincingly?.

i think pac will be smarter and more skilled vs marquez this time round, and look to only outbox and show up marquez.

Mosley will prolly juice early in training and that will be the only chance he has to win this fight...I still see pac beating him up bad over 10 rds and mosley quiting on stool...then retiring I hope..

i agree. even if pac knocked mosley out in the 1st round i would give him no credit for it because mosley looked horrible in his last 2 fights.

the guy has nothing left to give......

I like Shane Mosley with that being said he's gonna get knocked out if he fights Manny Pacquiao. Mosley is coming off a lost and a draw he shouldn't get this fight. Let Juab Manuel Marquez get outbox then knocked out by Pacquiao so he can shut the **** up already. MARQUEZ YOU CAN'T WIN A FIGHT GETTING KNOCKED DOWN 4 TIMES IN A FIGHT. **** DON'T ADD UP CLOWN.

Just a horrible fight. Makes no sense. Arum is a joke. I'm tired of defending Top Rank.

LOL at the writer Comparing the De La Hoya that Mosley beat 2X (on EPO because standard drug testing FAILED) to the De La Hoya Pac fought. That's like comparing George Forman fighting Ali and the George Forman on tv selling grills, two completely different fighters. At least Mosley fought Cotto AT 147 when Pac cried, whined, complained and DEMANDED it to be at a catchweight. Unlike now he's ready to fight AT 147, as long as its an old man in Mosley OR a 135lber in JMM...... The irony of it all.....

Might as well get used to hearing Pac vs Mosley. It seems as it was in the bag months ago, just as a Pac Cotto II later next year as Arum already knows Cotto will finish Margarito off. Yet they claim to have Mayweather on there agenda let alone Martinez AT 154, Berto AT 147, JMM, Alexander and Bradley AT 140.

Seems after Pac takes another easy fight with an old man who hasn't won a fight in nearly 2 years, he will move back up to defend his 154 title vs Cotto at 154.... Yet he just said he was "too small" for 154 and "ducked" Martinez yet plans on fighting Cotto again at 154. This is called ducking the best and "cherry picking". Contradicting hypocrites.

                    So lets recap here,
Pac vs Mosley AT 147 in April
Pac vs Cotto II in September

Which tells me Pac just took the lead and title of a DUCKING COWARD. This is REALLY disappointing. Yea they sure have intentions on fighting the best. Such a shame.

The two boxers have several common opponents. The most recent is Antonio Margarito, who Pacquiao sent to hospital after a twelve round beating. Mosley knocked Margarito out in nine rounds in January of 2009.

whilst i'm not totally against this fight like most people on here, Shane really needs to STFU. Has he learned nothing from the Mayweather fight.

"I'm just too much MAN for him" - SSM on FMJ.

"This is not a weightlifting contest" - FMJ in response to that remark.

Now who proved to be right? Shane needs to relax and come up with a good plan and execute it. Personally i think he should come in very very aggresively and back MP up. If he tries to box, the speed difference will get him. He needs to get inside and push MP around. That's where his strength matters, not jiggling about like a crack addict.
