Comments Thread For: Arum: Cotto vs. Chavez Fight is Ruled Out For March

As krikya360.com had reported earlier, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. withdrew from this Saturday's fight with Pawel Wolak, scheduled to take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Nonito Donaire's bantamweight bout with former champion Wladimir Sidorenko has replaced Chavez-Wolak as the main event of Top Rank's "In Harm's Way" pay-per-view. Wolak will face Mexico's Jose Pinzon on the show.

Cotto is not shot enough to lose to this bum. Chavez is a KO waiting to happen.

Even if he opted to fight Miguel in March he’d most likely would come up with another excuse to pull out.

Margarito will beat Cotto and Forman will beat Chavez. Then we get the Margarito vs Martinez rematch.

I just read at ENDI.COM (puerto rican newspaper) that Cotto actually requested the fight and negotiation will or have initiated to see if they can fight at 155 max. This is actually what Sergio nad his promoter said they were willing to com down to. Not sure is it is true but they claim that the source came from ESPN's Dan Rafael. I'll try to confirm and come back

Boxing has turned into the WWE. It's not the competition that matters, it's the spectacle and what generates the most money.
