Comments Thread For: Arum: Berto is The Toughest Sell For Manny Pacquiao

Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, is hoping to have a deal in place by Dec. 19 for Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs) to face WBA/WBO lightweight king Juan Manuel Marquez (52-5-1, 38 KOs), WBC welterweight belt-holder Andre Berto (27-0, 21 KOs), or five-time champ Shane Mosley (46-6-1, 39 KOs), that is, if nothing materializes with unbeaten six-time titlist Floyd Mayweather. Arum will arrive in the Philippines on December 14, and plans to present Pacquiao with several scenarios for his next fight.

Looks like it will be Pac Mosley. The WBC should make up a belt and have this fight for the mw championship of the world.

i totally understand and hear where arum is coming from...manny wants X amount of cash and berto simply doesnt bring sweet F.A to the table, so why does he get a shot when there are others....doesnt meant i agree with it, but i understand why.

mosley is finished and unless he gets some serious PEDS then i really dont want to see the fight. i didnt want to see marquez fight pacman as i thought pacman would be just too much, but after watching the katsidis fight twice i would love to see manny get to 140 and fight marquez over berto or mosley...but it seems bob arum is going to do what bob arum wants to do and that is make mosley pacman. shame.

This sounds like a children's storyline.

            Mosley- But he's too old!
            Marquez- But he's too small!
            Martinez- But he's too big!
Berto- But he's too cheap, not enough money!

I like to see Pacman vs Mosley. Mayweather beat Marquez so badly that he doesn't look fit to fight at Welterweight. Let Marquez fight Berto or Cotto to test his skill first....

dont you think that floyd made mosley look terrible too? he made him look very old and un-dynamic which i know floyd can do with his skills (how i saw it anyway). floyd did the same to JMM but in fairness floyd did weigh a fair bit more....JMM and Pac are naturally closer and he's taken pac to the wire twice...unless mosley is on PEDS i see pac running rings around him pot shotting and countering him until mosley is battered silly

I prefer Mosley than Berto, even tho Berto is in his prime, he doesn't deserve a fight with Pac.
