Arum should make Cotto, Clottey or Margarito available for Marquez now!! Marquez needs to choose just one and beat him! That will unanimously earn his right to fight Pacquiao! Will never happen!! lol

If JMM fights Cotto or Margacheato and drains them with a catch-weight maybe just maybe JMM will beat them and get a chance to fight Pacquiao.

do fans want to see pac-jmm3? ofcourse yes but business would prevent it from happening. promoters will say that jmm doesn't deserve equal money and fight would be on pac's term since he is the draw. and jmm have no chance at 147 above.

jmm better fight at 140 and conquer his 4th title there instead of *****ing for a pac trilogy.. a trilogy is necessary if both fighter scored one against each other and not because a certain fighter is always giving another fighter a tough time but still on the losing end..

nobody was saying Pac was so good when he fought JMM the first time. or even when he beat Barrera. he was a one dimentional fighter with a power on his left hand and some speed. but JMM couldnt get the W. like ive said if he was so good Marquez would have beat those guys convincingly not a close fight.

P4P marquez is a better fighter? says who? you? so i have to believe that? he couldnt even dominate a 2007 version of Barrera. Barrera's best weight was 122 and 126 lbs not 130 and gave JMM all he could handle. look at his resume and tell me he is really GOOD?

who would have thought that Manny's best weight was around 140 lbs and up? wellall knew Manny was already a pretty good boxer, not great but good when he was fighting in a lighter weight. but now we see a different Manny Pacquiao in a higher weights.

after Manny's last fight against Marquez he won 4 more titles. one was a lineal. it was more like destroying his opponents not just beating them. what Marquez has done after a Pac fight? fought Juan Diaz 2x, old past prime Casamayor and beat Katsidis who are actually considered a D or C class boxers.

I don't really get what you mean? What makes you feel that there should ever be a significant margin between them? Two horses race, one beats the other by a nose 9/10, you know which one is the best horse.

At 126, the only division that JMM fought prime, he beats Manny 9/10. Know why? Because Marquez - like everybody else - got surprised by the speed/angle of Manny's left hand. Once he recovered after round one, it was straight to work and easy pickings.

The entire developed world saw Marquez beat Manny the second time around, just look at Manny's face before they announced the winner. He knew he lost that fight.

Even above Marquez' best weight, and past his prime, he beat Manny in the rematch, we all saw it.

Marquez would win 9/10, and the one that Manny win would be the first one. JMM makes the adjustments by instinct after that, he's seen Manny inside-out, and is a much better technical fighter.

And now, even when JMM is nearly 71 Team Pacquiao are still piss-scared of Marquez, and will not fight him unless he goes up to 147. Which is more than Manny weighed when he won his welterweight title LMFAO

Neither are ATG, but JMM is ahead of Manny because there are no question marks over his achievments.

When both of these things happen at exactly the same time, it is fkn bizarre...
1.) gain 15lbs of muscle in less than 18 months

To all of the posters that know more about Manny's singing prowess than his boxing abilities, this will explain why it is a b1tch move for Manny Pacquiao to fight Juan Manuel Marquez at 147......

Obviously 135 is the limit for Marquez. The Katsidis fight that took place over the weekend, is the first fight where the career-featherweight Marquez has even looked close to being a genuine lightweight.

Clearly, even at 140, Manny would still have a HUGE advantage over the old-age pensioner Marquez..... and Manny can easily make 140.

Immediately prior to the Margarito fight, Freddie Roach and Alex Ariza both stated that Manny was a natural junior welterweight. Ariza said that they simply could not keep any weight on Manny, and that he had to eat 6 meals a day just to remain at welterweight.

Bob Arum's earlier comment that he did not want Manny to "starve" himself to make 143, was an absolute lie, and a total b1tch-move by Team Pacquiao.

Here is proof that Manny Pacquiao can eat "anything on the table" while training for a fight where he weighed in at 144.....

Why did Team Pacquiao lie ?

Manny has a much bigger frame than the career-featherweight Marquez. At 147, Manny will be able to officially build up to 6-7lbs of muscle that Marquez' smaller frame simply cannot support.

The smaller Marquez cannot build anywhere near the same usable muscle-mass that Mannys larger frame can accomodate, let alone maintain that muscle-mass, let alone use that muscle-mass to the point where it directly affects your power.

On a smaller frame it is much more difficult to build usable power without it affecting your speed, and if Marquez does not maintain his speed, then it will turn out to be a bad mis-match.

Even at 140, Juan would only have a small chance against Manny - who would be much faster, and much stronger - and if Marquez does not maintain his speed, then he will have no chance at all, because his skills will not be effective against the faster/stronger Pacquiao.

The posters that are suggesting that the weight would make no difference, are being a little dishonest.

And the posters that are suggesting that the fight-night weights are the same anyway, are confusing water rehydration with usable muscle-mass. I am not an expert on Manny's fight-night weight, nor Juan's for that matter, but you posters that are suggesting there is no difference between the two, are confusing the water re-hydration of Marquez, with the official muscle-mass of Pacquiao.

The point is.....

Freddie Roach and Bob Arum are both well aware that Marquez cannot fight any higher than 135. If the fight was held at 140, then it would be a lightweight against a junior welterweight. But if the fight was held at 147, then it would be a lightweight vs a small welterweight.....
