    Marquez showed his age....

Marquez is unnecessarily sitting in the pocket. Back in the day Marquez would've had a field day with Katsidis but instead his old a$$ had to trade with him. I will truly miss watching one of the best technicians in boxing but he is 2 fights away from retirement. One thing is for sure watching Marquez fight and put together punches is one reason I fell in love with the sport.

he did the exact same thing against Diaz man, I don't know what you're talking about looks like the same guy to me.

If anything, Katsidis isn't the same guy, he has way more head movement and has improved footwork. Still not nearly enough to beat a sharp shooter like marquez, but still, Katsidis isn't the same slugger he was only a couple years ago. He's obviously been working on some things over in Thailand.

I think he underestimated Katsidis' chin (so did I) and wanted to take him out before he got a chance to feel the power. By the time he realized he wasn't going to do it, he was already in full-on warrior mode. Marquez has a switch that can't be turned back. Once he's fighting, he's fighting for the rest of the fight. Barrera is the only guy i've seen in recent years who can box, brawl, box, brawl, box, brawl.

I agree in spirit, but part of it was a concerted effort by Katsidis to keep him in front of him.

Also, when a fighter challenges Marquez by getting up in his grill, he likes to respond back in kind. Have you ever notice he often answers an opponents shot landing on him, by landing the exact same shot back?
