Why not?? Margarito, a disgraced fighter, gets to fight Pacquiao but Marquez won't be given the opportunity?

so will this be manny's new requirement? now that he has gotten guys to come down in weight, now he wants them to go up in weight?...bradley,alexander,marquez,all have to go up now....does he plan on fighting someone in his own weight class that hasn't recently looked horrible?

Manny will end (retire) JMM by the 3rd round via Hatton-like KO. Then JMM and all his fanboys will have to shut-up; b/c MP went down 1 weight division and JMM went up 1 weight division. With all that has been said and done; JMM will be the one on his back again. The only difference is that he will not get up by his means. MP via brutal KO over Marquez in 3 rds. (ala Hatton)
exactly!! altho i think marquez should win a title their first to make the fight more significant, and to not be able to say hes completely inefficiant at the weight.

However you feel about this, it clearly confirms that Pac tried to weight drain his opponents. Not that we needed any confirmation, anyone with any common sense knew that already.

Dude went to the philipines to call him out, after two fights many feel he won, he disrespected manny on sev occasions, and still calls him out. Marquez really wants to fight the guy. And hes much more deserving than mannys last 2 opponents
if many felt he won and jmm felt he won...why fight a third time? hhhmmm...he lost that's why he wants a third fight or he wants a retirement fund those are the things he want...

if you feel everybody knew that then why are you still mentioning it? why feel the need to shout it out if its common sense and people should be able to know it already?...are you trying to convince people of the nonsense that your are spewing?

Jcc chavez at catchweight was all bad for the sport, so bad example t make catchweight look good. I think catchweight is all wrong for the sport simply because it doesnt follow the rules of boxing that has been set for over a century which state the opponent must weigh within the weight class not between weigh classes. I have no problem with catchweight( unless its too extreme), just for title fights. Thers no defending that.
Catch-weight fights has been around as long as the rules of boxing that has been set for over a century though...

HW title fights has been catch-weight fights.

JCC-Whitaker fight being at a catch-weight of 145 for the lineal title was not bad for the sport at all. And, for people to say it was is ridiculous. As long as both are comfortable and their best at said catch-weight there is nothing wrong. If the fight being made at 145 is the only way that the top 2 P4P fighters to get in the ring and then great. What is bad for the sport is if that fight would not happened at all. The only thing that hurt the sport was the decision.

Martinez-Williams II didn't hurt the sport at all either. Last Saturday night was great for the sport.

Pac-Margarito? Now that can hurt the sport of course it does.

Pac-Cotto? Nah it doesn't hurt the sport at all.

You have to take it by a fight to fight basis. You cant just generalize and say catch-weight for titles hurt the sport. Because, it won't hurt true for all fights. Sometimes you need that catch-weight to make a great fight happen.

Arum knows the Lower the weight the better this fight will do.
It would make alot more money at @135 then @147.
At @140 this fight will make better than @147 when it comes to making millions.
This is why if this fight is made it won't be at 147. Arum knows even 144 will do better than 147.

Now JMM wants the $$$$$$ thats a desperate move for him. He'll die for sure

Thats not a scam... thats business
You got no idea on weight ,,,, you make it sound like a few pound to lose is nothing , when the fact is if its the few pounds at the point you are on a knife edge its a lot , and can really hurt you , fighters change and grow , metabolism alters as you get older forcing you to gain weight , because a fighter was at say MM for many years doesnt mean he will stay there , it can come a time where he can never make that again .

Water weight must be held by something " muscle fat " , say for instance Margo can dehydrate from 160 to 150 overnight ,,, lets say for him 10 pds is the maxium loss his system will let go off for his 160 pd amount of muscle ,,,,, if he were forced to be at 148 instead of 150 the only way he can do that is be a few pounds less muscle starting out , that effectivley means he must train lighter all the way ,, this is what hurts them and Roach knows it , Roach is not taking 2-4 pounds of them at the weighin although it might appear that on face value , he is taking it from them in muscle all the way through training .
