Pacquiao's Next Fight Reduced To 3 Options (None of them Mayweather)

IMO Mayweather> JMM@140> Alexander/Bradley (winner)@140> Berto> Grandfather Mosley
If the next fight is Mosley (which it most likely is) then FUCK Arum and FUCK Pac. Pac should be standing up to Arum with this shit but he's such a fucking pussy. He says that fighting Marquez is ****** because "no one would want to watch it." WTF? That's his biggest money fight if a fight with Floyd can't be made. Team Pac is fucking bullshit, man.
And if the JMM fight can be made, fight at 140 not 147. No bullshit. Ariza even admitted that Manny weighed 140 the morning of his weigh-in with Margarito and had to overeat just to get up to 144.6.

i see how ppl excused the margarito thing. i knew hed get his ass beat but ppl thought he'd actually fight back and he did to some extent. but ****ing mosely??? berto is a whole lot more live than mosely at this point. the guy hasnt looked good in over 2 years.
if berto destroys hernandez is stunning fashion and pac doesnt fight him or if bradley destroys alexander in stunning fashoin and pac doesnt fight him then i really dont know what to say. there can be no more excuses.

And, with Arum saying no co-promotion he is the only option TBH.
And, that is just crap.
From a promoter's perspective though, you got the cash cow and these fighters are lining up to him.
TR alone does a fine job of promoting pac ... without the help of these promoters piggy backing.

It'll be Shane at 147.
JMM has priced himself out asking for 50/50 purse splits before. Manny will not fight at 140.
Berto is relatively unknown and nowhere near Shanes or JMM's status.
Look for a Pac/Shane fight in late May. Sales will be to the tune of 1-1.2m buys and in Vegas under NSAC rules.
Oh yeah. Manny wins via 7th rd TKO, Brother Naazim and his corner stops the fightLast edited by NesNY; 11-24-2010, 11:43 PM.

Shane's my 5th or 6th choice for Pac, but from a business standpoint it probably makes sense to bump him up near the front of the line due his advanced age and rapidly closing window as a somewhat viable candidate for the ppv masses. Same could also be said for JMM, but it'd probably be a super hard sell once ssm hits the big 40 harder than it'd be after his 2 recent crappy performances. I'm guessing it's 95% done deal for Shane unless Pac rejects it.

Bob Arum is a scum bag. Always has, always will be.
He doesn't want to share the promotional costs with the company that tried to tarnish Manny career and reputation with baseless drug accusations and who Manny is suing. I don't blame him.
If GBP want the Marquez fight they will have to put their money where their mouth is and pay for the entire promotion, to ensure Top Rank don't lose any money on the fight. Manny has said this himself in a recent interview.

Bob Arum told Maxboxing on Monday afternoon, "We got terms for [Shane] Mosley. As far as [Andre] Berto, well get terms from Lou DiBella. Ill negotiate and get terms. And then Ill get terms, maybe, on [Juan Manuel] Marquez because Im not doing any co-promotions. And Im bringing the three proposals; Ill have two or three to Manny in mid-December. Hes going to pick the guy and were off and running. Because it looks now like [Floyd] Mayweather is not going to make himself available."
Both Marquez and Berto have fights to win this weekend at the MGM Grand. Marquez faces Michael Katsidis and Berto takes on Freddy Hernandez on HBO.
