The thing is, for most of Pac's career, he was fighting at much lower weights where they are few, if any, premium black fighters. That's why he's fought so many Mexicans. His fights at higher weights haven't been against black fighters yet (other than Clottey) because Arum doesn't have any. Now that Arum's fighters are used up, he's going to fight the next guy out there. Likely it's going to be a black American fighter because that's who the best guys are at welterweight.

ROBERTO DURAN was a 135 pound fighter that fought better middleweights that BHOP fought in his carrer!!!
BHOP has to shut up;he wants to promote a fight MANNY-SHANE....what a mistake!!!
He wanted SHANE vs FLOYD and he learned nothing!!!

I like pacquiao I think he's an amazing fighter and top 5 ATG but you can argue about him being legit. He's been matched up very well for quite awhile now. In all honesty I hate mayweather and I like pacquiao but I think mayweather would beat pac if they would fight.

Myweather would win 8-4 rounds, due to his speed, ability, and very very much longer reach.
It wouldn't be any of his physical tools that would win him the fight, but his intelligence on how and when to use those tools...

The artical is dead right I've been sayn this **** since ppl said manny was the best boxer! Tho I dont agree with slick black boxer, I just think manny would get his ass beat by sum1 that is slick, fast, an has sum power which is normally wat urban black boxers are. Not to take away from wat manny has done, but when you start facing the same type of style every fight(no matter how big or strong) you gonna look good cause you've seen the style n know wat to expect. We all knew Margarito wasnt gonna out box manny only chance he had was to KO him.

Manny ducked Nate Campbell when he was the linear champ to fight Diaz. And Arum could have had him fight Zahir Raheem after he beat Morales, but instead put Morales in there with him after the loss. So lets not act like Manny didn't have the options of fighting slick African American fighters when he was at the lower weights. From 130 on up he had that option.

We saw what Marquez did to him. Imagine what Alexander or Mayweather would do to him.

By alleging pound-for-pound phenom Manny Pacquiao is undeserving of consensus No. 1 status because he hasn’t fought a top-flight black opponent, Hopkins regained in a single sound bite the relevance he’d apparently craved since embarrassing Roy Jones Jr. last April.

“Floyd Mayweather would beat Manny Pacquiao because the styles of African-American fighters – and I mean black fighters from the streets or the inner cities – would be successful,” he said. “I think Floyd Mayweather would pot-shot Pacquiao and bust him up in between the four to five punches that Pacquiao throws, and then set him up later on down the line.

“Maybe I'm biased because I'm black, but I think that this is what is said at people's homes and around the dinner table among black boxing fans and fighters. Most of them won't say it (in public) because they're not being real and they don't have the balls to say it.” [Click Here To Read More]
This is what I've been saying for some time now... It's the same reason I have the arguable TOP 3 P4P as follows:

                    1. Martinez: Pavlik (#1 MW), Williams (#2 MW)
                    2. Mayweather: Mosley (#1 WW)
                    3. Pac: Clottey (#5 WW), Margarito (not ranked)

Quality over quantity. If people want to be biased and say it doesnt matter Floyd only fought once while Pac fought twice, then Martinez STILL beats Pac. Either way you look at it Pac does NOT deserve to be #1. Mayweather and Pac are fighting over the #2 spot and as you may understand beating THE #1 WW is better than beating a #5 WW & a non-ranked cheater/fighter as is the reason Floyd is bumped up and Pac down.

Do the math. Arum better chose wisely.
