The problem with American boxers is that for too long they try and become pros as soon as possible to chase the money and get themselves a trinket belt so they can claim they are a "Champion". Here you have a kid who has been labbing for years as an amateur and he is straight schooling his comp as a pro.

Virgil Hill and Andre Ward come out with a different game plan every fight, a different style for a different opponent every damn time. I dont know why you even bothered to post because you sound like a damn fool. He is the clear cut favorite to win the SuperSix..he completely man handled Kessler who everyone said was hands down the best Super Middleweight n the world. Yes he had the home ring advantage but at the end of the day Kessler got BEAT DOWN, he got F'd up. He and V Hill knew Kessler doesnt like to get in the trenches and prefers to fight from a distance and it wasnt even close. Green was supposed to KO Ward and he suffocated Green not letting get a single clean punch off. Literally no power punches landed in a 12 round fight.

People hate on this kid for no F'ing reason. Maybe if he was on HBO "making it rain", or beating his wife, or getting drunk in the strip club. You all want the kid to be blinged out calling out every Super Middleweight on TV and stealing HBO money fighting bums...maybe wearing a cartoon character's halloween outfit, or a corner full of ****** hanger ons.... ..maybe then he'd be keeping it real and he would get love.

Agreed. This man is due some serious respect. He's one of the most professional, intelligent, and talented fighters in the world. Sad that he isn't more appreciated.
I only wish he would hold less because he doesn't need to do that to win.

You think Hatton and Ward have the same style? Clueless. Ward does whatever it takes to win. Inside, outside, combinations, potshots. He is one of the most skilled fighters in the world right now. And bad training and managing? What are you talking about. He will outsell the Martinez/Williams fight this weekend against someone with no fan base, and he will use a different style in doing it. My bet is he fights his third fight in a row with a top 10 contender without losing a round.

But I do have to say his long time trainer is Virgil Hunter not Hill.

I'm a Ward fan really. But I can see why some people would hate on him based on the Kessler fight. the excessive head butts and holding were unfair as a result of his resoluteness to keep his fights at home. the ref was an asshoe...
These guys shouldn't fight in their hometowns. That's BS. Froch should have gotten the W against Kessler but Kessler won it based on being at home and vice versa for Froch Dirrell. An even playing field would have made this tournament more lucrative

Maybe you're right about the hometown thing for the tournament, but Ward's win over Kessler was dominant. He won every round before the butts. It wasn't anything like the two close European fights that could have gone either way. Also, Bute has fought like 18 straight fights in Montreal against lesser opponents and nobody seems to rip him for it.

I admire Ward for what he's done and the image that he chooses to present to the public, but Andre Ward's trainer is Virgil HUNTER, not Hill.

                Ironic mistake, huh?
