Chavez Jr will do a Margarito on Cotto, in my opinion. He'll wade forward, absorb Cotto's best, whilst constantly firing back. It'll be a late rounds KO.

Those who are suggesting Cotto is not a live opponent are idiots. Cotto is not damaged goods or finished. He has mixed it at world level against world class fighters for many years, last taking a gimme fight back in 2002. He beat Mosley twice before Shane started to decline, and didn't get hurt by him either unlike PBF. His record is only really missing Mayweather, and perhaps Williams. He's fought everybody else who is noteworthy at welterweight. Everybody can get beaten, Cotto got beaten by an exceptionally tough fighter in Margarito (toughness proven beyond question by the Pacquiao fight) and an exceptionally gifted fighter in Pacquiao. Other than that, he is an elite fighter and this is a dangerous fight for Chavez Jr who, so far, has Duddy as the best name on his resume.

Chavez Jr's ability to work and trade on the inside with Duddy, who hits pretty hard, as well as the improvement in conditioning and technique in just a few weeks with Roach/Ariza prior to that fight - that's what has me believing Chavez can raise his game another couple of levels, which is something he'll need to do to beat Cotto. It is only the manner of the loss to Margarito that has me believing he'll lose to Chavez Jr, who'll have a similar game plan and equivalent strength and size at 154lbs.

Cotto outboxes and rearranges this kids face in a brutal fashion before knocking him out...Props to Chavez though for manning up and wanting the fight.

Cotto by way of knockout. Sounds like Chavez thinks he's in for an easy night, well he's got another thing coming.

Yeah ok, not even a prime cotto can stop El Gran Vaca de Dinero, expect your boy to be turned to wet grass and be chewed slowly by Vaca.
