Comments Thread For: Ariza: Floyd Mayweather Will Never Fight Manny Pacquiao

Of course not, because Team Pac will never agree to the testing that they said they did when they were about to fight Tony. The Floyd-Manny ship is sailing further away for me and I almost don't care anymore. Almost.
Good to see your articles again E!

fought Mosley after Mosley beat Antonio Margarito. To deny that
fact just shows who is more on the favoritism tip. How can
you not be bias toward Floyd, when all of your posts are basically
blaming him totally for the fight not happening? Remember the
first negotiations? The one where Floyd agreed to everything
Pac wanted and Pac didn't want to agree to a 14 day cut off
for the random blood tests? Didn't Pac go and fight Clottey
(Top Rank fighter) instead of straightening it out? All you
remember is the 2nd negotiations? would not have been no
reason for 2nd negotiations if Pac would have just agreed to
the tests the way Floyd wanted them in the first place instead
of suing him during negotiations. That's a b!tch @ss move right
there on the part of Manny. He only agreed to the testing because
of the pressure he was getting for ducking the tests. Manny
ducked from the get go, so how could you say Floyd is ducking
Manny? Floyd said he was going on vacation. He's not even
talking. I tell you one thing though. Mosley was active when
Pacquiao was looking for a fight at WW but instead opted to
fight Cotto. Fighting and beating Mosley after Margarito would
have been the smartest move for Pacquiao if he was really looking
for a solid legacy along with his 7th title. why get it from Cotto
at a catchweight, when he could have got it from Mosley and
beat the top guy in the WW division? Oh I forgot, Cotto was
a Top Rank fighter as well.
PS Mosley was willing to fight Pacquiao at
a catchweight as well. Even lower than 145.
Roach and Manny still declined.

2nd time around tho you cannot deny. floyd didnt even acknowledge the negotiations, even tho al haymon did. if floyd wanted the fight and wasnt ducking pacquiao, then why has he gone on "vacation" at home in las vegas!!!? why is it that mayweather and his people are not even trying to get it a 3rd time now? why has he gone into hiding?

Contrary to the popular belief, Roach said Pac wouldn't be ready for a fighter like Mayweather in March (first round of negotiations). Roach also said "no" to fighting Mosley from 141-147 when he was coming off a KO win of Margarito and was THE MAN to beat at 147 lbs.
For Ariza to say Floyd will not fight Pac is contradicting of what his teams actions have been. That logic is like calling Mosley a "coward" for Pac vs Mosley fight not being made.... or ONLY calling Floyd a coward for Mayweather Pac not being made..... its just silly..... and fan boyish!
Both teams are to blame for the fight not happening in 2010. Lets see if Arum will be "truthful" and attempt to make the fight in May of 2011.... we all know he doesn't like to deal with Golden Boy....
IMO, for the sake of BOXING:
Pac vs
1.Mayweather (147)
2.Martinez (154-155)
3.Berto (147)
4. Bradley/Alexander (140-147)
5. Kirkland (147) (after a tune up)
6. PWILL (147-154) (after a tune up)
7. Mosley (147) (after a tune up)
8. JMM (140)
This list is the exact same for Floyd other than 7 and 8. Floyd better not be all talkative about Pwill now. If he talks about anyone other than Pac it should be Martinez.

The majority of boxing ananlyst thinks Floyd is afraid of Manny.I agree with them.Floyd likes to play mind games but this time Manny got into his head.I agree with Ariza that Floyd is afraid of him.Even HBO's Greenburg wonders why Floyd turned the fight down.

Again like Grus said, you cant JUST blame Floyd Mayweather when Pac and Arum NEVER wanted to deal with Golden Boy/Mayweather in the first place. JUST as they didn't with Mosley. Or was Mosley "too good"?
If Mosley was "too good"? Is Mayweather "too great"?Last edited by WESS; 11-22-2010, 09:21 AM.
