Floyd stans, when Floyd won the 154 lb belt from Oscar,

How come none of you suggest that he defend that title at the very least once, or even seek out Jermaine Taylor at middleweight?

Or would that be too much to ask for a supposed pound for pound number 1 fighter?

Floyd is naturally a 147 fighter. He only fought Oscar for the money. Oscar always renders his superstar money juices to anybody he fights (see Floyd, Pacquiao).

      Mannys naturally a jr. welterweight,

so why are stans asking him to fight middleweights?

I know its not really fair to ask just you,

but they don't want to seem to come into this thread.

You seem to be on a roll of forgetting everything that was going on from 2005-2009. You've been here for a long time, i'm disappointed in you JC.

You know everyone wanted to see Hatton-Mayweather in 2007.

Right now everyone wants to see Mayweather/Pacquiao-Martinez.

Very different scenario from what happened in 2007. Nobody, and I mean not even the hardcore Floyd haters, were asking for Floyd to stay at 154 or go up to 160.

F uck outta here with that mess.

He won a title at 154 and he shouldn't defend it?

Its better to ask a career jr. welterweight to come up to 147?

Not a different scenario at all.

You guys just like to throw excuses out for everything he does.

Its ok for Floyd to win a belt at jr. middle and not defend it,

but Sergio Martinez knocks out Paul Williams and Manny Pacquiao needs to fight him.

I guess the title "pound for pound number 1" only matters if you're not Floyd Mayweather Jr. depending on the circumstances.

Regardless the motives of the thread, he has a good point. There's double standards (all around) rooted in who you like or don't. Very few people can be objective, and everything has an exception based on perceived extenuating circumstance.

                  Let's see.

Who were you, one of Floyd biggest critics, asking for him to fight in 2007 after he beat DLH? Weren't you saying for him to fight Cotto a WW? Now you wanna change it to him having to defend the title or go up to 160? Come on, let's not lie here, this is not my OG account, i'm way older than this. I know what was being said in 2007. And it def wasn't for Floyd to defend his title or go up to 160.

Now if Floyd wins a title at 154, I can see fans wanting for him to go up to fight Martinez or defend his 154 title. But in 2007 after he beat DLH 154, Floyd had a total of 3 fights at welterweight. Now he has 6 fights and I can see him now as a WW who can go up to 154 and campaign there, and even fight Sergio at 160. At 147 2007, not everyone was sure about him being a WW not even his haters.

Good golly f uck you're dense.

You don't even get the point of the thread.

You should have just kept quiet from the jump.

                    The point is this junior.

Floyd stans, never required Floyd to defend his 154 belt against anyone.

Soon as Manny beats Margarito for a jr. middle belt and Sergio beats Paul at 158,

floods of stans want Manny to defend against the middleweight champion.

There is no way you can defend that logic when Floyd never even fought the best of the welterweight division. The only people who didn't think he wasn't a welterweight, were Floyd stans. Because, "he can make 140 easily". So easily, that he never had another fight there again, and so easily, that he cheated a lightweight on the scales at a contracted weight of 144.

Only you guys believed he wasn't a welterweight. "Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, all those guys need to fight guys their own size, why do they want to fight Floyd for?".

If he wasn't a welterweight, the f uck was he doing in the division for the past 5 years then?

However, since you wanted to bring Floyds welterweight resume,

                    lets talk about it.

                    In 5 years,

Mitchell, Baldo, Judah, Hatton, Marquez and Mosley.

                    Thats what you're defending?

As I said, p4p numero 1 only matters in certain cases if you're Floyd Mayweather.

If someone else holds that title, they must and should beat a guy two divisions higher to actually prove it!
