Tall Lanky Guys Can Never Be Brawlers...

Exceptions do not make the rule.

At the highest level if you got a tall lanky brawler he's going to sleep. Exactly like lastnight's fight. You can clearly see every shot Paul caught Martinez with was on top of the head and every shot Martinez caught Williams with was a chin shot.

Martinez employed Hagler's strategy against Hearns. Came out pedal to the metal not giving Williams any space. Knocked him the **** out.

Taller guys have to fight tall and play a rangy game. Against a stockier more power concentrated foe in a shoot-out, they lose way more than they win.

tall lanky guys can brawl, but they gotta be able to maintain their distance. martinez was in pwill's chest and pwill couldn't get any leverage on his punches, while martinez's punches were short and crisp.

what i'm saying is it's definitely not in the tall fighter's interest to get in a brawl with a shorter fighter due to the chin factor.

the guy punching down is catching forehead and cheeks. the guy punching up is catching chin.

              Would you consider Margarito "lanky"?

I get what you're getting at though. They should use their size and reach advantage...

No he didn't Martinez sat back and waited for Williams to make mistakes, which ****ing fight were you watching?

If anything Martinez created space so Williams would lunge in so Martinez could counter him.
